This wonderful hotel is located in Kissimmee and it has an amazing location, the Orlando International Airport is just about 25-minute car ride away from the complex. There are many amusement parks, for children and adults, which are the most known in the world and they are ideal to spend the whole day having lots of fun and entertainment. There are also many restaurants and various shops perfect to have an agreeable meal or look for souvenirs. Gusts may also love to have some rest and enjoy relaxing on a sun lounger by the pool side or having a refreshing swim in the outdoor swimming pool. If visitors get hungry, they will have the pleasure to enjoy delicious Mexican food along with an appealing cocktail menu. The property offers venues to host business meetings, conferences and private events. The rooms are equipped with cosy beds and are perfectly decorated to make travellers feel comfortable and have a pleasant stay.

A literal safety concern. WARNING FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN!!!

My family and I have had a very traumatic past year and really needed/was looking forward to our vacation to Orlando from 5/12-5/19/25. We traveled from RI and researched for months what would be the best suited hotel for our stay. We have two children, and then it’s my husband and I. We specifically chose a hotel that would be not only local to Disney, but provided shuttles to the parks, provided free breakfast to save money in the mornings seeing we were staying for so many days, as well as had facilities such as a clean pool, lazy river and hot tub. Needless to say, that was not the reality whatsoever. The first day after we arrived, we went to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant but was stopped by a woman who asked for a voucher. I told her I never had one and was sent to the front desk where a woman with bright red lipstick told me that my reservation didn’t include breakfast, after showing her screenshot proof that when I originally booked the hotel, it stated on Agoda free breakfast, so needless to say breakfast for a family of 4 each day is over $60 a day total. The second next issue was that the hotel only provided shuttles to two Disney parks, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, which again was not advertised upon booking. We were going to all 4 parks, so saving money on uber or Lyft rides was also not an option for us. Next, each and every day we were there the hot tub was visibly dirty, with dirt and grime accumulating in the foam they use in the hot tub. The pool and lazy river was also very dirty, with lots of debris floating, including dirt, leaves, sticks, insects and band aids. So much for being able to relax on this trip! The last and worst experience of all was on 5/17/25, the hotel hosted a team of BMX bike riders and their families. It was an absolute nightmare, while at the pool my children were exposed to a massive physical altercation amongst the hotel guests, staff and multiple police officers. My minor daughter got bear spray sprayed on her face, my son got elbowed by a grown man, some our belongings were damaged during the altercation, and the resolution by hotel staff was to shut down the pool for the rest of the night and say sorry. Nothing else was offered or advised. This is the most shocking hotel experience of my life and I am so sad to report it ruined our 2025 family vacation. There were no locks on the doors of the hotel... Incredibly disturbingly the hotel unlocks all doors, including to the guest room floors, the public shared areas, the pool, and the hot tub during the day and does not require a key lock to access any of it. Therefore, our safety was greatly jeopardized as we don't even know if the adults that physically assaulted my children on the hotel property should have been at the hotel. Who said they were actually paying guests and not someone off the street? Anyone could easily walk in and out and my husband tested that himself as he didn't have his key with him, yet was able to stroll completely around the premises, with no restrictions. The hotel staff informed him and I that they always keep the doors all unlocked during the day.

The vacation from the vacation. I found a great deal on a third party but when I arrived and wanted to extend my stay the night clerk Kim was so courteous and knowledgeable that I extended my stay with Red Lion directly. Great prices Restaurant on grounds with pool and breakfast buffet

Appalling

We are appalled to even write this review… We stayed here this past weekend like we have for years, along with a huge group of BMX families who travel from all over the state to celebrate the end of the State season. We have picked this hotel as it’s supposed to be able to handle such a big group. Last night was our big year celebration that our kids who have worked hard all year, look forward to the most. It was early and not at all crazy (as past years have gotten, I’ve been there to experience 5 years of it), the police was called, we were threatened with pepper spray if we didn’t leave the pool, our children were crying as their lifeguards were laughing and police officers kept threatening. It was outright traumatic! The front office ladies were wonderful trying to calm us down and trying to contact the manager who didn’t seem to think that it was important to talk to us. When she finally came around to the front, she threatened to give us trespassing charges as we were trying to rationalize this in the front desk if we didn’t go back to our rooms. I have never been treated so poorly in any establishment before and what our kids had to experience is outright horrific. Unfortunately, all of the years our bmx families supported this hotel is over. Lastly, after you book the hotel and when you arrive at the hotel is when they let you know that you ALSO need to pay for a resort fee for the weekend. Said resort is no resort at all, the lazy river was closed both nights and we were not allowed to use the pool.

FIRST AND LAST TIME!

We weren’t allowed to have fun!! I recently stayed at RED LION KISSIMMEE and had an extremely disappointing experience. Our kids were swimming in the lazy river/slide area when they came back to tell us that the lifeguards made us get out, that they were closing that area 2 hours earlier than posted with no reason to them! To shortly find out, We were kicked out of the pool 4 hours earlier than the posted closing time without any valid explanation, they surrounded us with lifeguards and security like we were trespassers and started to whistle for any little move in the pool. When they finally all whistle at the same time to announce no horseplay, no jumping,no running, everyone was accepting to the “new rules they added because they decided to close one pool area and now have a cluster of people to hock over to the main pool”. Fine everyone was continuing to have a good time no issues, even with the staff and lifeguards surrounding the pool, and recording us without our consent, not one person went out of hand in this situation nor did they said we need to leave pool once. To make matters worse, the hotel staff decided the police, who arrived with pepper spray and threatened our children and us if we do not leave the pool in 3 minutes we will get peppered sprayed we were all appalled how this situation was handled. This was a terrifying and traumatic experience for our family. Families and children crying, rushing to the lobby for a reason of this scenario! Despite our attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel has refused to refund our money or any resort fees that they took away from us. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Our vacation was ruined, and we are deeply dissatisfied with how we were treated. Additionally, Yanelis Mendez, “the general manager”, was obnoxious and rude, refused to not listen to us, even though the police officers, the front staff, even their own security staff disagreed with how Red Lion handled the situation.
