Rhodes Bay Hotel

Amazing place with the sweetest receptionist Lea. She has been very helpful and caring with everything. Big recommendation from us. The room and private pool was so pretty and comfortable .

Just back from a week here with my daughter & son in law. Nice hotel but certainly not 5 star - here's why I think that. First impressions in reception - quite dark and dingy. Nothing bright and sparkly that shouts quality. Staff were fine, but not friendly nor particularly helpful. No clear explanation of how the all inclusive worked, especially regarding restaurants. We had two double rooms - both rooms were fine apart from the bathrooms, which were so small that you had to squeeze round the door to the toilet. The shower was over a very high sided bath - the bath served no purpose as it had no taps. Having a walk in shower would have more of a luxury feel and create more space. My balcony was OK, not a very good view but I could sit on it. My daughter's balcony was unusable - just a very small triangle, a view of several other balconies and inhabited by pigeons who would pooh on you or your belongings with no mercy! The pool areas were not attended by staff - every sun bed had a towel on it all day, often with no one there for long periods of time. There were notices saying that this was not allowed, but no staff to enforce it. In the main pool, many people were in the water with drinks and even cigarettes, no staff prevented this. The beach was not good - I realise this is out of the hotel's control, but the sun beds & parasols were shabby and the wooden walkways were uneven. Staff in the bar areas were generally very slow to react to guests, although all were polite and quite friendly. On one afternoon we approached someone at the bar, just to be told to sit down and they would come to us - we still waited several minutes to be served! improvements could be made to their sustainability efforts - plastic water bottles are still used, there were no water dispensers. Towels were changed every day, even thought they were left neatly folded on the towel rails. The holiday was saved by the food! The buffet restaurant served a good selection and variety of food at all three meal times and the speciality Greek & Italian restaurants were both excellent. In my opinion this all adds up to a 4 star hotel, and improvement is needed to reach 5 stars.

Another lovely stay at the Amus elite suites , we go here year upon year as we know we will be so looked after by all the staff , we had a elite suite with a private pool ,we can strongly recommend these rooms , very spacious and the bathroom is so lovely with a his and hers basin a Bath bidet , and a very spacious walk in shower . every day little treats are left for me to eat , a large bowel of fruit is there on arrival and a nice bottle of bubbly . its just little things like that makes all the difference .the hotel is situated 20mins from the airport , we always get a taxi to the hotel, so no long trip to your hotel , plus its just a 10min taxi drive in to the old town of rhodes . What i do love is having breakfast there , its very quiet and sedate and no masses of people going for food , a great selection of food too , i love it , i could go on and on , all i can say you won't regret staying in the elite suite , may be one day you may bump in to us , please do try here , kind regards Martin

If you are after a 5 star hotel you might be a little disappointed. The room was big and roomy kept clean but the outside of the hotel building could do with a fresh lick of paint. We used the private beach every day but the loungers were old and very uncomfortable not what is expected from a 5 star hotel. We were charged for things from the mini bar that we didn’t use so I refused to pay, they then emptied the mini bar fridge, clearly they didn’t believe us. Fresh water was delivered every day to your room which was a nice touch. Would I return? No, if something is advertised as 5 star then that’s exactly what it should br

Amazing location and wonderful facilities, from the pools to the rooms and private beach. I also had an amazing experience at the spa with Maria who was very accommodating and very knowledgeable, felt pampered all the way through.
