Our first ever visit to this Island. We stayed 22nd October for a week… All inclusive which we’ve never done before… In hindsight maybe late October was not the best time to experience this area although the hotel was beautiful and everything ran seamlessly thanks to the amazing team. We ended up very much hotel based due to the quietness of the area so was really pleased with all the hotel offered. I soon realised the difference between ‘out of season’ which we’ve often done to ‘End of season’ which is what was happening towards the end of our week. Our last day as we had a late flight we kept our room till 4.00 for 45 euros which meant we could enjoy the sunniest day we had that week. This was really helpful.. **Was so disappointed though when we headed for our last lunch to the buffet restaurant as it was then closed for the season and meals were at the a la carte restaurant at poolside level 11. As that was table service we didn’t have enough time to do this so opted for the snacks also at poolside. Both fish fingers and spring rolls were stone cold?… Like the heated plates had not been turned on? So a roll, pot of fruit with yoghurt and a muffin was our last lunch. Another holiday maker said they had a letter popped under the door telling them the dining changes. We would have really appreciated this too as our last lunch was really disappointing **We found all inclusive a little confusing at first, until we realised you could scan QR codes in different areas to see what was included as Maria informed us at the outside beach bar…anything with a price at the side is extra, if blank it’s included so big thank you to Maria for helping us out! Rather than keep checking we stuck to the same drinks we knew where included. The selection of food was incredible, everything you could want and service was fab too. **Rooms, we opted for a sea view deluxe room All spotless and well maintained, robes, slippers great quality towels and lovely hot showers There was a fridge in our room with a bottle of water on arrival and fruit bowl which was a lovely touch. If you require anymore water for your room remember to ask at the bars for a bottle before you head back as there is nothing in the fridges throughout your stay. A suggestion of more than one milk portion per person per day in your room would be great. I always use two so did end up finding house keeping down a corridor to request more. The buffet food was excellent, always well presented whether you went at the beginning or near end of service. with options to dine in or out.. beautiful views from the outside terrace. Also discovered halfway through our stay there is a Mountain View dining area… we really loved this **The hotel side we were staying in was North facing to the front…room 1706 so although a dazzling sea view the balcony was in shade permanently, our room was over looking the entrance and carpark. had we worked this out we would have chosen the Mountain View rooms as they appear to have some sun and face away from the busy main road. I somehow didn’t realise the hotel was on a main road. You cross this to get to the beach or there is a little subway from the hotel to avoid this. We didn’t use the beach as very rocky and seemed odd facing your sun bed away from the sea due to North facing sun, but you are on the North of the island so makes sense but not our preference. **One problem we did have was the air con, first night the room was so hot and stuffy with a temperature of 23 degrees that wouldn’t budge. We did report this and they sent maintenance, unfortunately the second night was the same, this was really affecting my holiday experience. We were offered a fan…I was so happy about this…it never arrived! The third day we went to reception again. Took our details and said would look into it…it never arrived again! So my husband went back to reception and was told the air con is now turned off due to time of year and they delivered a tall standing fan which saved my holiday. 23 degrees with quilts on the bed is just not ideal for me but the fan made it so much more comfortable. evening entertainment most evenings which were some of the best we’ve seen, we really enjoyed those. To conclude, a stunning hotel with incredible service but end of season weeks made surrounding area very quiet and many restaurants closed, so would not go in late October again
