Riu Reggae All Inclusive Adults Only

The food was excellent. The beach was amazing and the staff are the friendliest I’ve come across. A massive shout out to Omar from the entertainment team. Always there to help out and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be coming back

The hotel completely exceeded my expectations — everything was clean, comfortable, and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. I genuinely can’t fault the place. It ended up being a fantastic stay and I’d happily return again. If you’re on the fence because of mixed reviews like I was, I’d definitely say give it a chance. All the staff here are absolutely amazing and really made the stay special. A big shout out to Tasheen at the sports bar who was always so friendly and welcoming, and Aiden from the lunchtime shift who was brilliant as well. (I ate a magic gummy 🍁 and ate half the buffet and when I tell you this young man looked proud of me, made my day hahahha Every single member of the entertainment team was fantastic — they brought such great energy and made every day fun. A special mention to Bubbles, you were amazing and truly stood out. The whole team works so hard to make sure guests have a great time and it really shows Also a big shout out to Christina from the restaurant, I hope you enjoyed your 2 weeks off with your daughter ❤️ Also demor at the steak house- lovely lad and very friendly!! Keemer from reception was abit difficult, we was struggling to book any of the dinner reservations and when we approached him he was hesitant to help at first and just kept saying do it from the app which I understand but the app wasn’t working. He could have done abit more to help from the start and dropped the attitude a bit but we got there in the end!! The buffet was great with lots of variety, so there’s always something for everyone. There was plenty of choice at every meal and you’ll definitely never go hungry here. The food was nice, fresh, and constantly being topped up. It made mealtimes really easy because there was always something different to try. I have 0 complaints about this hotel and I had the best time here so Thankyou for making it such an enjoyable experience and I would definitely be back. The ONLY NEGATIVE I have is the minute you step off the resort people will hound you for money, this was getting so frustrating- don’t get me wrong your very safe so don’t listen to people that say you aren’t but just anyone you meet they’ll as you for “a little something to bless them” we got a shuttle from the hotel to the shopping centre across the road and even the shuttle driver said “maybe you can make my day better” obviously hinting we gave him a tip which we was going to do so anyway but it’s abit of a put off! I understand the wage is low here but they think English people are made of money and everyone seemed to want something!! Went to palace 3 years ago loved it quiet but changed to the Reggae last year for 3 weeks. Palace upped their price up 2000.00 per person in 1 year.it it same food lodging as reggae so I guess you pay the extra 2 grand for quiet. Not worth it for us. Reggae this year 3 weeks Feb 18 to mar 11 2026.had a great time. We are seniors but we did all the games. They don't allow small floats in large pool which is the only riu to do so.tons of floats in Panama riu Playa blanca no problem.another annoying thing both washrooms on beach. One tap and blower didn't work in both bathrooms.i reported this on first day and it was the same when we left. 3 managers walking around everyday doing nothing except collecting their paycheque. Another thing is people not tipping really annoys me to know end. Went through an aweful lot with hurricane and you can't give a buck here and there disgusting. Special thanks to Shanae. , Otis, shashane in dining room. Andrea for breakfast. Delroy, Michelle bartenders and all the bartenders. Oral at the lobby taking care of luggage and all the animation team.see you next year. Do not believe any bad reviews if true would we stay there for 6 weeks over last 2 years.some people you just can't satisfy . Just unhappy with life in general.

My friends and I just got back from a week at RIU reggae and had the BESTTTT time. I’m going to leave an honest and thorough review:) Staff: AMAZING!!!! Seriously throughout our time here we did not meet one person that was not f’ing awesome. The bar staff, lifeguards, and entertainment team always had a smile on their face. I think the staff is what made our trip so memorable. Specifically from the bar: Michelle, charlott, and our guy WINSTON!!!! They were the best and we will miss them. PLEASEEE tip your bartenders, as they only make $10-16 a day. The entertainment team had the best energy and the shows were top tier, I would make sure you don’t miss them! They were ALL awesome but we had the pleasure of getting to know Gabi and Brandon, who were so awesome. We would come here again in a heartbeat solely for the staff alone. Beach and pools: We sat at the beach every day as it is right next to the pools, but gets more sun and is less crowded. The resort is pretty small, but it is actually very nice how close everything is. The beach was beautiful, the bottom was a bit mushy in the ocean and had a lot of seaweed but if that bothers you go in the pool or use water shoes. Pools were kept very clean, the main pool with the swim up bar not as much but it’s expected as it is busy all day. There is entertainment in the morning and afternoon at the pools and it is so interactive and fun! My only actual complaint about the beach is the men in the kayaks who try to get you to buy weed & accessories. They can be a bit pushy and it is frustrating to not be able to go in the water without them talking to you, but just say no thank you and they will eventually move on. Rooms: No complaints, nothing too special but no issues. No weird smells or uncleanliness. There were 3 of us and we got a double room with two full beds and a pull out couch. Shower was big and balcony was nice. We were on the first floor, so there were some mosquitos but wasn’t a big issue. Housekeeping did a good job, some days they did not get to our room until around 5 pm which could be a little inconvenient at times but they have so many rooms to clean so keep that in mind! Food: The jerk chicken hut open for lunch was the highlight of the food. Right on the beach and it was soooo good! We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets, the food was definitely better than other resorts I’ve been to in different countries. We were not fans of the lunch buffet, but wasn’t a problem because the jerk hut was there. Next time we will definitely leave the resort and explore local food options, we just did not get a chance to leave the resort other than our excursion because it was our first time here and we were nervous about traveling far as 3 girls in our twenties, but by the end of the week we realized it would have been fine. We tried the Italian restaurant, it was okay, but couldn’t get res for the other restaurants. Excursion: We booked the snorkeling & beach catamaran party boat through scuba caribe right at the resort. It came out to $89 pp, it’s 3 hours long and takes you to snorkeling and then a small local beach with food, a gift shop, vendors, and performers. There are drinks provided and music the whole time. We had somewhat low expectations for this, but it ended up being one of the most fun things we’ve ever done! The snorkeling was beautiful, we got to see coral reefs and fish and stingrays. I wish we got a bit more time at the beach but nevertheless it was great. And the way back on the boat is a partayyyy. Riu Montego Bay: So, if you stay at riu reggae you have accesss to riu Montego Bay which is about a 5 minute walk on the beach. That resort is huge and you can have breakfast, lunch, and drink there (not dinner). There is also a club there that we would go to at night. We attended the beach party and white party here which were a blast! Staff here is not as kind as reggae, but I would assume it’s because they deal with triple the amount of people and tasks. Definitely check out this resort if you stay at reggae! Overall we had an amazing time and this resort made us want to come back to Jamaica a million times. We will be back next year hopefully!

I recently stayed at Riu Reggae and overall the resort itself was beautiful. The beach, food, and most of the staff were great and worked very hard to make guests feel welcome. However, there was one issue that I think management should take seriously. During my stay, I noticed that some male members of the entertainment team were exchanging Instagram information with female guests and messaging them privately after their shifts to arrange meetups outside of the resort. From conversations with other guests, this did not seem like a one-time situation but something that happens fairly often. While the entertainment programs themselves were fun, it sometimes felt like professional boundaries between staff and guests were being blurred. Aside from that concern, the resort itself is lovely and many staff members were wonderful. I just hope management reinforces staff–guest boundaries so the environment remains professional and safe for everyone.
