Never to be repeated!

This hotel may have been 5 star in it's heyday but it is definitely in decline now. My husband and I were there at the end of October 2025 with another couple of friends.. The rooms we were given were infact apartments with a sittingroom, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. We did not ask for this and did not need it. The apartment, like many others, in the grounds of the hotel was accessible only via steep roads and steps (stairs). On arrival the reception told us to take the 'golf buggy' to find our room, which after a short wait we boarded the buggy only to be left at the top of the incline and told "your room is over there" ... there was no assistance with the cases even though there were steps up to the room. The kitchette had a supply of crockery and cutlery, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and more, but no coffee, no tea, no bottled water..... so what was the point... The bathroom, had a bath with no plug, and a shower head that could not be directed any where ewcept to where it kept flooding the bathroom floor AND it kept falling out of the holder. The mirrors all had mirror rot, the wooden doors frames (floor level) had wood rot .... The whole apartment was very damp, the bed clothes and our clothes were all humid to touch. Now for the restaurant; one restaurant for over 1000 people. Between 20-30 mins queuing to enter a massive space with an infernal amount of noise. For breakfast the coffee, served in jugs, was too awful to drink. For dinner in the evenings we were subjected to very bad service from unerpaid poorly trained, foreign staff (this is not the fault of the staff but of the hotel owners/managers who are cheapskate), drinks (wine/beer) poured out in advance so beer arrived flat and white wine tepid. The food was mediocre and quite repetative but plentiful. On 2 separate ocasions we saw cockroaches in the dining room. All in all I would certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was lovely but a little bit see through the food was alright though a bit samey and although we were all inclusive certain food times and places were unavailable and we still had to pay to play pool however the staff were absolutely brilliant they were kind and professional and all round friendly particularly the animators Fife and mataia who both were entertaining

The hotel is a lovely place with great scenery and views from our room, I was bit underwhelmed with the services that were closed as it wasn't peak season like the 'playground' which was open for the first few days of our stay but was then closed. I think the hotel could've highlighted this since it made it a bit confusing, same for the surrounding areas most being closed making it hard to find locations open close to the hotel. But the staff were all amazing and friendly especially the animation team, fefe and mattia who were the highlight of our trip making us feel included and welcomed and brightened up the evenings. I would recommend here and would come again but probably during busier times where there is a more range of customer ages as it was difficult to find people our age.

Hotel very clean. Room was great on 17th floor with great views of the sea. Hotel near to the beach. We were all inclusive and lucky to be able to use the breakfast area near the pool but not everybody can do that on AI . Rest of meals in the main area. There is a bar near the pool. No issues getting a sun bed. Food good but disappointing that the hotel runs very large conferences and closes off areas in the food area and also the entertainment area for ‘conference parties’. You could also not use the nice bar near reception on the AI so had to pay there. Not sure why. Not much around the hotel. Would not go there again.

DO NOT STAY IF YOU WANT TO EAT. horrible food service including food poisoning

me and my mother stayed at rodos palace from nov2 to nov9 as a part of an agency trip. for the first 2days the hotel lived up to most expectations of hotels in its class, nothing extraordinary but also nothing horrible. then it was like the hotel management just decided "screw you" to any customers using the restaurant. they closed off 1/3 of the restaurant seating for dinner (resulting in MASSIVE queue's and some people just straight up not getting served) the number of food options and the quality of those options went from reasonable to outrageous. there was something like 5-6 options for warm food, of which about 3-4 had some meat, and all of the options being either under-cooked over more commonly BADLY overcooked (had the pleasure of having "chicken teriyaki" where the teriyaki seasoning was nothing but char) AND to top off my horrible dining experience, i ALSO GOT FOOD POISONING. an anecdote from the last dinner service to illustrate just how bad it got, the table next to us was served wine they ordered, and had to ask for a replacement glass because theirs had lipstick on it! no wonder i got sick if these were the cleanliness standards.
