Extremely Disappointed – Definitely Not a 5-Star Experience

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at Rodos Palace. This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had, especially for a place claiming to be 5-star. First and foremost, the room was shockingly unclean. Mouldy walls, ripped linens, and a musty smell made it clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. We even found used tissue stuck in the balcony door – absolutely unacceptable. The overall condition of the hotel rooms in the main building are tired and outdated. It felt more like a worn-out 3-star hotel desperately clinging to its former glory. Don’t be fooled by the photos online. The outside area is dangerous with broken slates near the pool area, ripped umbrellas and broken ladders to get down into the pool. To make matters worse, the staff were indifferent at best and outright rude at times. Simple requests were met with eye rolls and disgusting attitudes. Hospitality seems to be a foreign concept at this place. After spending the night in a vile room in the main building ( because the staff refused to move me and were not bothered to accommodate at all) we got moved to a different room the next day full of ants that were up the walls and in the bed sheets. Save your money and stay elsewhere. There are far better options on the island that actually deliver on their promises. I would not return or recommend Rodos Palace to anyone.

100% not a 5 star hotel !!! Staff were okay rude at time depends on who you deal with . Food was at a bad standard, overcooked and with no seasoning. The rooms were okay , the toilets kind of old fashioned . Pools would need a clean especially the indoors one .

Great visit to Rodes. Nice hotel and god food. The kids were in the pool all day. Lucky with the weather and had 29+ degrees all week. The VIP Lounge in the hotel has a great hostes named Irene 💕 I can truly recomend to give her a visit if you book Abav2.

More of a good 3 Star Hotel, def not 5 Star!

We stayed for 6 nights in one of the family suits at Rodos palace last week. The woman who runs the shop is very rude and started insulting us out of nowhere. She charges more than double compared to the small shops outside the hotel (which are less than a 5 minute walk away). STAY AWAY FROM THE SUVENIER SHOP INSIDE THE HOTEL The main area of the Hotel is nice and most of the staff friendly and helpful, I would suggest the hotel works on their waiting staff in the main Restaurant. Most working there are rude and ignorant and really dot want to be there. The food and drinks served with Ultra All Inclusive is very basic and cocktails are handed out in small paper cups -which isnt very 5 star like. Our family suit was clean and spacious but really needs some work done. The pool area is nice for children but terribly overcrowded and messy. Day trips can be booked from the hotel but those are much more expensive -if looking for a boat tour, go to the pier in town, they have great offers there and it really is worth it. We had a good week at the hotel all together but wouldnt return. There are a lot of really nice 4 star hotels around that are much better than Rodos Palce!

Fab hotel, I would recommend staying on a higher floor as the lower floor rooms are dated, we were on floor 14 and it was completely refurbished. There was always something to eat and they have a selection of restaurants you can try, I can recommend the fine dining restaurant (extra cost). Pool area is lovely, and the pool is a lovely temperature with a pool bar, this was sometimes busy however there was another bar inside that not many people seemed to know about if you want to get a faster drink. Like most hotels you had to get up early to get a sunbed however I did notice people asking a man that worked there for a sunbed and he always appeared with one for them. The entertainment was fab, always inside the dome, with a different act on every night and activities through the day with the reps. The hotel is only a 10 minute taxi ride into Rhodes and costs €14 there and €10 back. I would recommend faliraki waterpark, it was fab, the hotel puts buses on every hour to and from there for a good price. A HUGE shout out to the girls on the guest relations desk (Mia, Andrea & Alexandra) they went above and beyond to help my boyfriend organise surprises for me for my 30th birthday. They couldn’t have been any more helpful and honestly made the stay even better 🩷
