I recently stayed at Rodos Place for one week and had an exceptional experience. The guest relations team were outstanding and went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. In particular, George was incredibly helpful and brought a great sense of humour, making our experience even more enjoyable. Annamaria was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, ensuring we always felt comfortable. I would also like to extend special thanks to Angela, the manager, who was exceptionally friendly and thoughtful—she kindly upgraded us to a sea view room, which made our stay even more memorable. Each day, the team greeted guests with warm smiles and created a welcoming atmosphere that truly stood out. Their professionalism and dedication made a lasting impression, and we already miss them. I would highly recommend Rodos Place and look forward to returning in the future.

Money making hotel such a shame

Firstly, this hotel expects you to pay tax worth of 15euros per day ( we have paid 105euros in total as we stayed for 7 nights) they expect you to pay this upon checking in. On top of that, they also expect you to pay 80euros deposit?!?! This is upon checking in also. The receptionist said that we will get it back once we've checked out, if not, it may require 2 to 3 working days to get it back?! I'm hopeful we get it back. There are certain areas in this hotel such as the terrace bar near the pool area where you cannot even have a sit unless you order something and pay -- again money making vibes. The pool is not as big as they portray it to be online. They have an indoor pool and kiddie pool. And it was utterly cold. The towels, you have to deposit 10euros. Sunbeds are 20 to 30 euros to use by the beach. Food was the same every single day. It was rubbish. This place is a facade!!!!! This is meant to be a 5star hotel?!! I had better experience with 3to4 stars hotel. Its just a shame, this place put me off from coming back to Greece. In contrary, the housekeeping were very precise. The location was perfect. It is near the Old Town.

Excellent experience

Very nice and friendly reception staff including Mr Nikos. Lovely food in the main restaurant and great service. Alicarte Restaurant has very nice greek food too. Waiter Leonidas and superviser Despina Hotel manager Belias all very nice. Very clean rooms and excellent cleaning staff. On Easter Sunday the food is amazing and there is traditional music and dance. Very nice view and location especially if you have a sea view room. There is a big indoor pool and bar is nice too. Good value for all inclusive. No disruption of noise level.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL -

Absolutely NOT a 5-star hotel – very disappointing and stressful experience. I stayed at Rodos Palace Hotel after paying around £7,000 for a family holiday, and it was far from what was promised. Before arriving, I had confirmation via email that my children and I would have rooms together. Instead, I was placed in an outside garden suite while my children were given two separate rooms inside the main hotel. This was extremely upsetting and not what was agreed. When I raised issues with the regional manager, he moved me into the hotel and presented it as a “good gesture,” but this was something that should have already been arranged prior to arrival as per the confirmation email. It felt very misleading and manipulative. He also promised, as another goodwill gesture, a fully stocked minibar for my children — which we never received. In fact, we had to buy our own water and even teabags, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. The room itself was also not up to standard. I requested a double bed but instead got two single beds pushed together with the legs literally taped. My daughters *extra bed* had missing slabs, I tried to smile so my kids dont be upset on holiday but how can i when everything kept going bad to worse. The swimming pool situation was another major issue. The lifeguard constantly changed rules daily and enforced a strict “one parent to one child” policy, making it impossible for me to supervise both of my children at the same time. Then i got my other 3 adults to 2 children and then he said yo me they had to be 12 or over to swim and then he said he only trusts my female daughter because MEN dont watch kids properly....but isnt he not a man to? When I raised this, I was simply told to “enjoy” and that the lifeguard would leave us alone. In reality, my children only felt comfortable swimming when this particular lifeguard was not around or was busy arguing with other guests. His behaviour was inconsistent and created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. It was him who ruined the most of my holiday. The games room required payment, but there was no change available anywhere on site, so it couldn’t even be used. And only 3 machines worked...the pool you had to pay 5 or 9 euros for half hour or 1 hour. To make matters worse, my daughter’s trainers (Nike Air Force Jordans), which she travelled in and had worn on the first night (with photo evidence), went missing, Reception were unhelpful for days and eventually told me to claim through my own insurance, which is unacceptable. On top of everything, both myself and my children suffered stomach upset from the hotel food. We were forced to eat out most of the time or stick to basic options like salads, adding even more unexpected costs. Overall, this hotel caused more stress than enjoyment. Poor organisation, broken promises, lack of basic amenities, and nowhere near the 5-star standard it claims to be. I even slipped and fell flat on the floor due to rain water in the building I would not recommend staying here. Complained to love holidays because the regional manager told me to tell them which is actually pointless because they probably already know whats going on and as long as they have your money they just ignore it. They tell you take as many pictures and we open a case. There is so much more to say but please be aware and do your own research. The only any stars i give is to the lady with the long black plait and 2 of the food hall staff and one bartender

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

We should have read more reviews before we booked this hotel. Our Room: The Good: The room was beautiful and clean. I am guessing we had a refurbished one. The balcony and the view were a bonus. The bed was comfortable. The Bad: We weren't a big fan of the glass shower/toilet doors but suppose this could be personal preference! It seems an odd choice for a "Convention Hotel" though where you might have random colleagues sharing a room! The Ugly: No minibar. No tea or coffee. No water bottles. Not what one woukd expect from a supposed 5* property. The property itself: The Good: The location was great for us. Although the food was nothing special - at first (see the bad and ugly!) it seemed good and was plentiful. They had signs noting dairy free and gluten free which was helpful but nothing alternative for those that may have needed it (i.e. no gluten free bread or alternative milks). There were a couple of waiters in the main restuarant who were lovely and who remembered us after the first day. The Bad: We booked "Ultra All Inclusive". From what we could tell - this didn't seem to be any different to normal "All Inclusive" and even that was highly underwhelming. There was 1 bar serving All Inclusive guests with few staff working so long queues. Drink choices at the bar were *very* limited - not what was advertised for Ultra All-Inclusive or what you would expect from a 5* Property. Evening "entertainment" seemed to be one guy running karaoke in the very small "All Inclusive" bar area with not enough room for hardly any of the guests to sit down or be comfortable. Food in the "theme restuarants" didn't seem to be anything different from the main buffet and certainly wasn't anything special. Decor throughout the hotel was varied with some areas being nice, some places having electrical cables hanging out of the wall, and other areas lookong completely run down or unfinished. The wall behind reception particularly bothered my partner as it didn't create a nice first impression. Our guess is that at one point it might have been a lovely water feature that is now broken? For some reason they picked the middle of breakfast hours as lobby cleaning time, including closing the toilets closest to the main buffet and refusing to let anyone in to use them while they were cleaning. This was an every day we were there occurance and the cleaners made their annoyance at people walking over the floor as they were cleaning known. The Ugly: We found almost all of the staff incredibly rude. The description of what we booked very much did not match the reality. And my partner got food poisoning our 3rd night there from the "theme" restaurant. After that we were both incredibly careful of what we ate the rest of the trip. Before the food poisoning incident we had been thinking it came in at a somewhat low end 3* experience. But with that added in I really can't credit it with anything other than a 1* review.
