Don’t bother with this hotel unless you like disappointment, snotty staff and bland food, not 5* at all

Came here with my boyfriend, hotel looks nice online but soon as we went to the room everything was falling apart, toilet seat, sink taps, lamp shades, hardly any plugs in the room either all the lighting in the room is from lamps so it’s either charge your phone or sit in the dark basically, can’t use the fridge so don’t plan on buying drinks from the shop to keep in your room because it’s a “mini bar” only which if anything is taken out it’s automatically charged to your room, take your own hair dryer also they’re so out dated and if they’re on for longer than 5 mins it burns your hand, food is awful the only thing I enjoyed all week was the croutons 🤣 staff are rude and look you up and down, everything isn’t labelled either so you have no idea really where anything is, not enough sun loungers, they closed the pool twice during our stay for private events so had to pay for sun loungers by the beach, don’t even bother with the speciality restaurants in the hotel food is awful from them too, lack so much flavour, considering it’s a 5* hotel it’s not worth it at all. The pool area is nice and to cocktails are nice too but everything else is awful.

Wonderful place and staff outweigh the 5 stars

First off I would like to point out this was a very important father and son holiday for me. We flew and landed on his 18th birthday and returned the very same morning he left home for university. For this reason I wanted something special to leave us with memories at such a milestone in both our lives. I chose Rhodos palace purely from aesthetics I rarely focus on reviews as sometimes people get a negative experience or have higher expectations and it becomes hard to navigate. To begin I emailed the team before leaving to see if I'm able to arrange anything with them and they happily provided a happy birthday cake in our room to welcome him, complete with candle and matches. Of course the hotel itself is stunning as you can see. How ever what really took my breath away was the staff members themselves. They have so many helpful, welcoming and lovely members to their team. However I must give a personal shout out to a selection of the the most amazing staff I've had the pleasure of encountering. In the dome on evenings you can enjoy entertainment with the bar. Here we encountered the amazing!!! Rahul, Mourya and Georgie as well as the other waiters. Who quickly not only became friends but felt like enjoying time with family. We began spending our time at the bar seats rather than tables so we could speak with Rahul where he was stationed. In doing so we also met two of the most wonderful ladies in control of the bar. Nikoleta and Anastasia are amazing and always looked after us with radiant smiles. Regularly a good song would come on and instantly we would start dancing along with Rahul. Then out of nowhere we spot Nikoleta who smiles and joins in from wherever she is at the time. Surely some people thought we were crazy the 4 of us spread out randomly dancing away laughing in sync. Which was very often once the amazing Anastasia and Rahul began loading song requests after the show ended. I say all that to say this yes the hotel, the food, the location next to the beach, the food and service and the pool etc. are all as amazing as they look and you get every bit you pay for. But the experience and people are priceless. You can pay anywhere in the world to get those things and be treated well because people are doing there job well. However people like Rahul, Nikoleta, Anastasia, Mourya and Georgie are rare encounters and the experience and memories we shared with them are priceless to us. I'd like to thank all the staff for an amazing holiday with my son and to those named particularly they are like family to us and we will miss them dearly now we are back to reality and hope we meet again next time.

How they get away with calling themselves all inclusive is beyond me!

cheeky of them to label it a 5 star hotel considering this then means paying €15 per night PER PERSON when it is no where near a 5 star hotel! When you arrive you get a piece of paper that tells you opening and closing times of bars (the dome closing at midnight) but nowhere does it state there that after 11pm they start charging when people have already paid for all-inclusive. Food was repetitive, lacked flavour and lukewarm. They advertise a snack bar however all you can get is toasties and ice cream. the real snack bar is one you have to pay for!! No idea how they get away with calling themselves all inclusive. Drinks that were on the all inclusive menu were very watered down and long queues all day as usually only one person working behind each bar. Only way to get a proper drink is to pay for their premium alcohol🙄 Probably would have given it a 4 star until coming to the pool today to find a private event happening where more than half the outside area, including the main pool, has been closed off meaning most people had to go to the beach and pay €10 each just to sit on a sun lounger. In addition to this, the private event has extremely loud bassy music meaning you can’t relax by the pool in the way most would want to.
