Fabulous hotel where one day we can hopefully return!

30 Jun 2025
We have been to Bermuda many times, but this was the first time we had stayed at The Rosewood and it hopefully won’t be the last! Our bedroom was beautiful with a very large balcony overlooking the sea. The bathroom was stunning with a huge roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower. You do have to take a shuttle to get to the beach but this is by request, so you don’t feel restricted in any way and we never waited more than 10 minutes for one to arrive, indeed most times it was ready and waiting. The drivers were always very friendly and the vehicles were clean and air conditioned, so it never felt like a chore. The beach club was amazing, set on a stunning beach with a gorgeous restaurant giving fantastic views. The conservatory bar was super, we ended up having drinks or late night coffees here every evening. Service was very friendly and welcoming. We had a superb meal at The Island Brasserie one evening with amazing food and service. Breakfast at The Brasserie on the outside terrace every morning was delightful. On our last evening we ate at Sul Verde and wish we had not left it til the end of our stay as we would have definitely returned given the chance. We sat outside on their veranda overlooking the golf course and had a delicious meal with excellent service yet again. There were always plenty of sun beds available by either pool so the hotel never felt busy even though I believe it was at full occupancy during our stay. A large private event was held on the lawns behind the pool one evening, but this did not disrupt us at all. We paid over $2,000 per night for a room that didn’t even include breakfast in the rate and so we arrived with very high expectations, which the hotel managed to fulfil by making us feel very special and hence we will hopefully return.

Excellent Stay (with a little left on the table)

30 Jun 2025
If you plan on staying at the Rosewood in Bermuda you can expect a beautiful hotel, gorgeous beach and great food (rated on a Caribbean scale). As you may already know, the downside of the hotel is that the beach is a shuttle or golf cart away, but for the undeterred, it is a great experience. Hard to imagine the negative reviews on this site and they seem excessively harsh. Physical plant seemed in great shape though any modernization is welcome. Room was wonderful with extra powerful shower and air conditioning, two very welcome features for any beach hotel. The staff at the beach and at all restaurants were fantastic. The one legitimate critique is that the front desk and concierge are a caricature of competence. At best, perhaps half of the front desk staff know what they are doing and/or actually care about making your stay better. For example, we called in advance to schedule dinner reservations, all of which were never booked. Our shuttle from the airport was not waiting for us and, like others, there were errors on our folio. I also called multiple times to the hotel and no one picked up the phone. When you stay at the Rosewood you can expect an excellent stay, and once the hotel decides to get logistics in order, it will be perfect.

Good but Needs Improvement in Key Areas

30 Apr 2025
There are many aspects of this hotel that are wonderful and a few that definitely leave a lot to be desired. The main pool is beautiful, the surroundings are tranquil and lovely. Service is very good. Two big issues however…the gym has some good machines but the stretching/class area has only a few mats that are dirty, some balls that are filthy and one antiquated roller that is also dirty. It is very disappointing to see this. The other issue is the main restaurant is a very nice setting and the service is very good, but the food is average at best. I had several meals there over numerous visits and I was impressed only once with a daily catch lunch. I once had a chicken Cesar and the chicken was like raw flesh. Hate to be so graphic but that is the best description. For the prices they charge and the level of service they claim they really need to up their game.

Fantastic Staff, Property a little Neglected.

31 Mar 2025
We stayed for 6 nights in March. I’m going to start with the positives. The staff are all wonderful. Especially in the Brasserie. Every staff member we met, were outstanding. We had an Ocean View Suite which was beautiful, very spacious, comfortable bed, lovely linens and bath robes. Tea & Coffee making facilities etc. Negatives - The property is in need of some TLC. The cushions in The conservatory Bar are stained and worn, same in Tuckers Bar. Photos attached. The sun beds by the adult pool are frayed leaving sharp edges. Our patio window needed replacing as it had condensed inside the double glazing so you can’t see out of it. The sun beds on the beach are such poor quality, considering the price point of this hotel. The beach club was closed whilst we were there, despite being told it would be open prior to booking. Weekends are awful, you cannot get a bed around the pool -it’s full of club members and thousands of kids. The adult pool was just a sad place, scaffolding up, only half of it gets the sun. No views. We had a few poor meals at Sul Verde & The Brasserie. Definitely not value for money. Fine dining prices for bang average food. We felt that Rosewood Bermuda had an air of neglect about it, it’s not being kept to a high standard - which for its price point is really unacceptable.

Cancelled trip due to lack of reply from concierge / front desk team

28 Feb 2025
We intended to stay at this hotel but wanted to make sure that there would be enough to do with our infant. We contacted the hotel using their concierge email address and the general hotel email address and never heard back from anyone. Due to this lack of responsiveness and communication, we decided to cancel our stay and go elsewhere.
