For a 40th Birthday treat, my wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend in Bermuda and have zero regrets about our stay at the Rosewood. Elegant Christmas decorations created a fun, festive atmosphere to go along with our warm, beach weekend. Right away, the hotel upgraded us to a room that was so nice we actually went back to the front desk to check that it was the right room (we seriously walked in and our first thought was that it was TOO nice!). The bathtub was enormous, and we had our own private balcony with enough space to gather a medium sized group of people - which was a nice luxury for just the two of us. Every single member of the staff was friendly and made us feel taken care of. One day, as we made our way back from taking the bus into Hamilton, a hotel shuttle driver saw us walking back from the bus stop, and made sure to stop and pick us up so we wouldn’t have to walk. Even though it was the final days of November, the beaches and pools were still nice and comfortable enough for swimming, and it was a lovely stay overall. Rosewood Conservatory Bar Relaxing Crystals!! Not enough can be said about how much we love this place and the wonderful people running it. We stayed at the Rosewood for Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday, and to end each night, we capped off our evening here. We also had afternoon tea on our second day, which was excellent. Instead of getting the scones, sandwiches and desserts all at once, they timed out everything so we were able to enjoy each item slowly. And this made perfect sense once the desserts came out - otherwise, we might have skipped everything and went straight for all of those delectable pastries. And while we enjoyed the atmosphere and food, it was actually the staff of the Conservatory Bar that made it our favorite stop over the weekend. If you get the privilege of having Gusto/Yaba as your waiter, you will be left in stitches. He has some of the best stories, and will make you feel relaxed and full of smiles throughout every sitting. Charlotte was the first and last person we saw at every visit, and while we were just tourists, she made us feel as if we had been local regulars for years. And if you are lucky enough to visit on a day when Izzy is tending bar, you are in for a treat. Aside from being an excellent mixologist (they even have a drink named for her on the menu!), she is literally and figuratively an artist. Going to Bermuda for a birthday probably should have felt like a treat on its own, but Izzy made our weekend something special that we will always remember. Thank you to the staff of the Conservatory Bar! You are the best!
