Official Description

Steeped in rich history, timeless elegance and true understated luxury, Round Hill welcomes you with genuine Jamaican hospitality while captivating you at every turn. Located just west of Montego Bay, Jamaica, 20 minutes drive from Sangster International Airport (MBJ). It is comprised of 27 individually owned villas and 36-Oceanfront rooms surrounded by 110 acres of lush tropical gardens, overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the double infinity edge pool. The upper level Oceanfront rooms have spacious vaulted ceilings and large louvered windows which fold back to take full advantage of breath-taking views. The lower level rooms have spacious patios or balconies. The villas feature two through six bedroom suites, living rooms, verandas and magnificent views. Twenty-three of the villas have private pools. Each villa bedroom is ensuite with its own bathroom and terrace. Guests may book a private, complete villa with private pool and dedicated staff or individual villa suites can be booked. Breakfast (surcharge) is prepared and served in the villa suites by the cook daily. Property features Private beach, Pineapple Kids Club and 7UP Club Spa, Fitness Centre/Gym Culinary 2 restaurants, Organic Garden We practice a “farm to table” philosophy, sourcing most ingredients from local farms as well as the resort's own hillside organic garden. 3 bars, motorized and non- motorized water-sporting activities. Today, the inspired capacities of our highly skilled and dedicated staff have been able to preserve the history and legacy of this iconic resort while staying at the forefront of the current industry.

A Caribbean Classic

We just returned from a really enjoyable 4 night, 5 day trip to Round Hill. The staff, particularly Shelly, Burch, and Owen, were all very pleasant and helpful. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful, with great views of the Caribbean and sunsets. The food was well prepared and the drinks were delicious. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with a plunge pool, but the accommodations were more like a 1 bedroom villa with 3 floors and an amazing full size pool. The top floor consisted of the bedroom, ample closet space, a large full bath, and two large balconies - one overlooking the entrance and one overlooking the pool. The middle floor was the main entrance and living room with a full bath, closet space, and a large balcony overlooking the pool. The bottom floor was another large living space with a dinning table, kitchen, and full bath with an outdoor shower, and opened to the pool area. The entire space has a very open design that we really liked. We would have given Round Hill 5 stars except for one issue that was bothersome. We were told the previous guest took the key with them when they left and there was not an extra key. While we were able to lock the suite/villa while we were in it, (we thought) we were not able to lock it when we left to go to the beach or dinner. The reason I said we “thought” we could lock it while we were in it is because we realized the glass door to the outdoor shower either does not have a lock or we could not find it, and the internal locks we tried to use did not work. So, although we felt safe, there was some discomfort that the suite/villa could not be secured. Hopefully they will get those issues corrected because being able to secure the accommodations, while we are there and when we are out, is a minimum expectation. Other than that issue, we give Round Hill high marks. We had a great time and the people were great.

A fabulous experience!

Round Hill was a fantastic experience for my family of four (including two young girls). Or Villa was gorgeous and well maintained, complete with friendly personalized breakfast everyday. The staff was extremely friendly and kind to us at every juncture. Their kids club was also a delight for our girls. While venturing into town or doctors beach works require a driver, the scenery here was so idyllic we didn’t feel the need to venture out save for a trip to the dolphin cove. Between the beach and the infinity pool, we had a fantastic visit and look forward to as future return!

Cockroach infestation

I would not recommend this place, for starters when I made the reservation I booked the wrong dates, I called within hours of booking it, begged them to cancel the reservation so I could make another one but they refused it since I made a non refundable reservation. We got there and the place is nice but dated. We got a nice villa , 3 bedrooms with pool, it was nice until we came back from dinner and found lots of cockroaches in the villa. My husband had to kill them they came to spray something and more roaches came out of the bedroom. My kids were very scared at this point. Next day I asked them to check the villa and spray something but again at night lots of roaches. The manager said he would recompense us for the inconvenience. They changed us to another villa on the 3rd day. No apology, no mention of the inconvenience. We had a late check out that was cancelled. The staff is amazing, very knowledgeable and helpful but I wouldn’t go back. It doesn’t worth the insane price they charge

Historical, classic property perfect for relaxation!

We recently stayed at Round Hill Resort in Jamaica and were blown away by the beauty, tranquility and history of the property. Our villa, complete with a private plunge pool, offered total privacy and the ultimate escape from everyday life. The staff was warm, helpful, and incredibly attentive, making our stay feel effortless. The food was consistently good, and the entire experience was tailored for relaxation and luxury. Highly recommend a spa visit as well. While it is on the pricier side, visiting during the off-season made it much more accessible—and absolutely worth it. We’re already planning our return!

Paradise in Paradise.

Attention to detail is the name of the game at Round Hill. Excellent customer service, beautiful landscaping, peaceful beach, and clean/comfortable accommodations abound. The dining menus were well curated and dishes were delicious. Amazing place to recharge, refresh, and lose yourself in the beauty of Jamaica. We look forward to returning soon.
