Amazing holiday

Just spent 2 glorious weeks here at this hotel. AMAZING … from the minute we arrived until we left. When we first arrived we went to the lobby bar for a refreshment until our cases were taken to our room. REAL cocktails not from a machine. We chose a superior room with a seaview wow what a view. Unfortunately after a few nights we had to move rooms. Not because it was not good standard but just because of the late night music that could be heard from the beach bars along the beach. Not a negative however, hubby and I just prefer it a bit quieter at night. We were offered another room within minutes at the other side of the hotel which had a lovely little balcony and it was so peaceful could only hear the birds tweet. PERFECT. The staff and location were just perfect. Initially when we first arrived we ate in the buffet restaurant and the food did seem a little tepid not overly warm. However a few complaints were made from other guests which soon made a difference and the food was a lot hotter. We only used the buffet restaurant on the mornings for breakfast as the snack bars at both pool areas were fantastic. Yes .. 2 pool areas … one which played music and another area which was beautifully set in gardens with al water features. There also was a patisserie at the quiet pool area which had an ice cream bar in it too.. real ice cream not the tube you get at a lot of resorts. It also has its own private beach at both pool areas which were spotless clean and well maintained with a security guard and life guard. In the evenings there was a mixologist who made amazing cocktails every night. His name was Mehmet he was just superb. Always happy to make whatever you liked. His specials were amazing. As I mentioned we only used the buffet restaurant for breakfast as we booked the a la cart every night, Italian, fish and Turkish .. all amazing. Highly recommend the hotel to everyone. We will certainly be back that’s for sure. Miss the place so much. Until next time Roual Asarlik.

We have just returned from here being a family of 10. Having read the reviews before going I wasn't sure what to expect. I am going to start with the good things. The staff are the most lovely, kind and helpful people. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they work tirelessly to help you. All were amazing but I would like to mention a few in particular who stood out Alkim and Semih for their energy and passion in entertaining us. Musa in the lobby bar who is always smiling and helpful and so kind, Ahmet Can in the al a carte, Bella, Mahmut in the buffet restaurant and Mr Siddque who tirelessly stands every night making cocktails for everyone. There are 2 pools one noisy and one quiet. The grounds are immaculate and the location great. There is a shop accross the road you can get pretty much everything from. 5 minutes walk to Gumbet and can highly recommend the Hollywood bar for an amazing curry. You can book once a week a meal in the a la carte restaurants on site fish, Italian or Turkish. Can highly recommend the Turkish night and Italian I did not go to the fish one. There are 5 bars on site including one on the private beach which is lovely. One bar is open 24 hours with sandwiches available all night. The on site patisserie is lovely open till 6pm with cakes, waffles and ice creams. Now for the cons as I want to be honest for people going here the food is not catered at all for the English. It is predominantly towards Polish and Germans. The staff work hard and the food is presented nice etc but unfortunately it is not to our taste. Several people said the same. That said some may like it. At 7pm when the restaurant opens it's like a cattle market literally. Because us English know how to queue we do but others push in front but that's not the hotels fault. In the day there are 2 snack bars when you can have burgers and pizzas etc so we made use of those which were lovely. The rooms are dated and could do with upgrading and the WiFi is not the best. Overall we had a nice week and I would go back to this hotel but maybe eat out a few nights

Ok, lets start with the pro’s: The staff here are absolutely amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. They make this place, along with the views! The hotel covers and sits on a large hill. It has 2 swimming pools, quieter pool and a loud noisy pool. You are right next to the beach. Another plus, no rush to put out your towels, still had empty beds at 11. Rooms were ok, mini fridge is only stocked up with water & x Pepsi’s and not refilled. Beds were comfy enough. Cons: The family entertainment finishes at 11 but if you are unlucky enough like us, to have your room facing the noisy pool & the late night entertainment. You will be lucky to get to sleep before 3:30 am as they have a night club until then. Then you hear the bin man, the bottle collectors from 5:30 am onwards. Now on to the food, this is its biggest let down!! The restaurant itself is a bit of a mismatch. Surprisingly they don’t do chips every night! They don’t have a kids corner. The food is cold. They have the food in lidded containers but it’s pot luck to know what you are getting as it’s not labelled. Most of the time they were empty & not replenished for 30mins. We did complain regarding this due one of my friends being a vegetarian. Good luck if you have food allergies, you have no chance to know what you are eating. The manager said we could always ask the chef. You didn’t really see anyone in there to ask or if you could there was a language barrier. The food doesn’t cater for a variety of nationalities. The waiter one morning was glad to speak to us as we were English as he could speak English. He then went on to tell us, it caters for the German’s and the Polish (explains the food). He said the English are becoming less and less each year. We could see why. Outside the hotel: There is lots of fakearmani shops just outside the hotel but being a group of women felt very intimidating and vulnerable, recommend doing this through the day. Tobacco and cigarettes we found cheaper at the airport. Stock up on snacks as Bodrum airport doesn’t have a lot there in terms of food. €25 for burger and chips! €8 for a latte (costa)
