This hotel enjoys a spectacular location in Funchal Bay, directly beside the Atlantic Ocean. A supermarket, diverse shops, a bar and restaurants are to be found close to the hotel and the sea is also just a few minutes walk away. The city centre lies1 km away and there is a stop for the public transport service is approximately 50 m from the hotel. Housed in an architecturally interesting building, this hotel has an exclusive level of comfort. Built in 2002, there are a total 10 floors with 174 junior and superior suites. Amongst the facilities at this particularly elegant hotel count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, 6 lifts and a safe in the rooms. There are also several boutiques and common rooms (games room, library, TV room and lounge), a hairdresser's salon and a conference room. Dining options include a piano bar and 1 air-conditioned restaurant with à la carte and 1 buffet service. The Hotel also feature a public Internet terminal, medical assistance on request and laundry service. A Room With Beautiful View!

A truly stunning hotel! Some may consider the rooms to be old fashioned but we loved the more homely style. The furnishing are beautiful and high quality. Sea view was amazing. The room was well equipped with very comfortable beds and excellent service from hotel staff. We had booked half board and the food choice and quality was exceptional. Staff were very attentive and professional and made us feel very welcome. Pool area is beautifully kept and again has very helpful staff. Finding a sunbed was never an issue. Direct access to the sea is a real bonus. The views from the hotel are stunning and the location allows easy access to Funchal. Thank you to all at the Royal Savoy for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable!

Good central location by the sea. Good outdoor space and sauna and steam room handy. Gym ok, could be better. Breakfast excellent. Lunch menu average. Rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade for true suites for a five star in my opinion. Balcony a bit small. Only one sun lounger space and cannot hardly move it. A two bedroom would be better but more expensive and not many available.

Generally upholds its 5 star standards with a service level from front and back of house staff that is exceptional. Food quality and presentation can be comparable to the best restaurants in Funchal. Facilities around the pools are well managed and staff are visible to give assistance to those who require it.

Perfect two weeks

We had another glorious 2 weeks at the Royal Savoy. Staff are simple the best and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The food in the Armada is devine, definitely 5 stars. The staff Miguel, Luis, Roberto, Joao, Pedro and all of the other staff members just make the whole experience perfect. The whole atmosphere is just what you need for a relaxing break away being looked after to the highest standard. Thank you so much to everyone at The Roysl Savoy

The Royal Savoy Hotel is situated in a privileged oceanfront location overlooking the harbour of Funchal. The city's fascinating historic and cultural centre are close by.
