We stayed at this hotel for a week and, overall, we were quite disappointed. In our opinion, it does not meet 4-star standards — it’s closer to a 3-star property. Several basic amenities that were advertised or expected at this level were missing: no bathrobes, no iron or ironing board, and no hairdryer in the room. We were told these are “available upon request,” but basic amenities should already be in the room — even budget hotels and motels usually provide them. Breakfast was very poor, especially considering the hotel is located in an exotic country. We expected a good variety of fresh fruit, but there was one single plate with papaya and watermelon, cut into small pieces, for the entire hotel. Once it was gone, there was often nothing left. Vegetable options were extremely limited (only lettuce, tomato, and dry carrots), with no cold cuts, no cheese, and very limited bread choices. The room itself looked modern and recently renovated, however housekeeping standards were lacking. Upon check-out, we found the same crumb and hair ball under the bed that had been there since day one, clearly left by a previous guest. The shower is poorly designed: it is spacious, but there is no door or curtain, and the shower head is positioned right next to the entrance, leaving the entire bathroom floor soaked after every use. We had a 22:00 departure flight and asked about a late check-out. We were told that only a suite was available, at an extremely inflated price, allegedly because our room category was sold out — despite the same room type being available online for a fraction of the price. As of late January 2026, the entire 5th floor is under renovation. Our room was one of the very few (if not the only) occupied rooms on that floor. While we didn’t mind the works themselves, be aware that noise starts as early as 7:00 AM, which can be very disruptive. Another important detail that is not clearly specified: there are no rooms with balconies at all, which caught us by surprise. On the positive side, the rooftop pool is quite large and enjoyable, though the solarium area is poorly maintained and the sunbeds are uncomfortable. The spa was okay, but similar massages can be found just outside the hotel for about half the price. Overall, it was an okay stay, but far from what we expected from a 4-star hotel.
