My hubby and I booked this trip last minute and got an excellent deal. For your info we are 60yr old, good travellers and healthy. The transfer to the hotel was great. Prompt and comfortable. Its about an hour from the airport through the most amazing countryside and villages. The resort * out of season* is relaxed , quiet and a bit run down. The beach, countryside and views are spectacular 👌. We hired a very cheap moped and zoomed around happily on the not sunny days. A great way of seeing the island. Firstly the really good things The food is actually great for the price. There's loads of it, its very healthy and plenty choice. Not however if you are a chicken nuggets and chips type of person. But if you like stuffed peppers, fresh feta cheese, stewed meat etc then you will be happy. Pool side snacks are a bit boring but you can eat so much at mealtimes youll be stuffed anyway. We are not big drinkers, or bar users but people who were, looked happy enough. The staff are all fantastic, housekeeping and reception very friendly and can't do enough for you. The room was a decent size and clean , the balconies have amazing views. Furniture is basic but inexpensive. The lifts work The hotel is quite big and very basic. Everything about it is adequate but it needs a bit refurbishment, and some thought put into modern health safety and sanitisation to bring it up to expected standards. For example , the matress was very firm and good pillows but there was no matress protectors only a sheet. There are no kettles in the rooms. Some of the floors are a bit treacherous when wet. The poolside needs upgrading. The drink dispensing machines need a total re think. All in all , good value for what we spent. Some people are not going to like it if they expect the world for a few hundred quid but we are leaving quite content.
