Saint Tropez Boutique Hotel

Huge disappointment with this hotel. The photos are not representative of reality at all. The windows in the rooms are made of plastic, which makes it impossible to sleep at night because of the noise from the city, people shouting, and parties. There was also a strong musty smell in the room, seemingly masked with a very strong mint fragrance. The hotel also shows no flexibility at breakfast if you have a specific diet (in our case, no meat). We reported all of this to the reception, but there was no reaction from them. It’s also worth noting that it is almost impossible to park if you have rented a car. Finally, the staff is not always very friendly. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Restaurant is terrible. Recommend avoiding and going to other options. The feed was fine but nothing special but it took almost 2 hours to get lunch - a burger and a chicken Caesar salad. The entree along took almost an hour and a half to be served after we ordered it and then the order was wrong and not as we had ordered it. The wait staff was rather unfriendly and did not come and refill water while we baked in the heat wasting our afternoon and sitting in the heat.

I visited this place for dinner on my first night in Curaçao. The vibes and aesthetics were great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was also excellent. I would definitely come here again.

My recent stay was disappointing and far below expectations. A colleague recommended the St Tropez Boutique Hotel after staying there almost exactly one year to date from our stay. When I sent her photos of the property she remarked if she hadn't have seen my booking, that she would think we weren't at the same place. The property is wildly unmaintained. The rooms and pool area had clear signs of neglect that impacted the overall experience. Specific examples include: cigarette butts throughout sand in pool area, bathrooms in pool/bar area unclean, the small lounge tables were filthy; overly fragrant room deodorizer (the kind that smells like it is covering something up), unclean clothing closets (thankfully I wiped all the shelves as red lipstick was on one of the primary shelves and would have ended up on clothing), all surfaces in room were dirty, continuous leaking of air conditioner (directly above TV), filthy carpet, dusty, and overall in need of a deep clean. Communication with reception was essentially nonexistent. Requests for assistance were met with slow or minimal responses, and there seemed to be little accountability for poor communication or unresolved issues. It is sad to see a place with a great "vibe" depreciate due to general maintenance and appropriate communication. The location was wonderful - walking distance to excellent restaurants, historic sites, and local flair (around every corner there was poignant street art). The bar staff/auxiliary staff - Jamir and Anna Belle were wonderful however due to their roles were unable to assist with the above stated issues.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unprofessional, Disrespectful, and Deeply Disappointing As a guest visiting Curaçao from the U.S., I was invited to attend what was supposed to be a beautiful poolside performance by DJ Shine at St. Tropez — scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, what unfolded was a textbook example of mismanagement, poor communication, and outright disrespect from the venue’s ownership. Despite multiple prior attempts by DJ Shine’s team to confirm call time and setup details, St. Tropez never responded. Not once. Still, her team arrived early enough to allow for proper setup and prep — only to be greeted by Michel, the venue’s owner (and, bafflingly, also the opening DJ), with the incredibly rude and unprofessional line: “Who are you?” DJ Shine calmly explained who she was — only to be told she “should have been there at 10 AM,” a time that was never communicated to her team. But it gets worse. Michel then chose to mock her for using Serato Pro with a laptop — which, for anyone who actually works in the industry, is standard among professional DJs in the U.S. and globally. His exact words: “What professional DJ uses Serato?” Spoiler alert: That would be nearly every professional DJ in the U.S. After being blindsided and disrespected — DJ Shine and her team made the professional choice to walk away from the venue altogether. I, along with everyone else who came to support her, was left in disbelief at how poorly this was handled. Let’s be clear: This wasn’t a scheduling issue. This was a complete failure of professionalism and hospitality — starting with the top. The entire debacle could have been avoided with a single email, a respectful tone, and a basic understanding of how to work with talent. St. Tropez presented itself as a luxury destination, but behind the palm trees and poolside music is a management team that seems allergic to accountability, communication, and respect. I will never return. And I strongly advise any artists or guests with professional expectations to think twice before engaging with this venue.
