A little oasis

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Saman Boutique Hotel with my two friends. When the taxi pulled up outside, I must admit I was a little put off by the surrounding area; I needn’t have worried! We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and the hotel itself definitely wowed us all. The garden terrace with pool was like a little oasis and was a lovely area to unwind with a drink or two! Whilst the room itself was a little tight for 3 adults, it had everything we needed and was very tastefully decorated. It was very clean and had a maid service everyday, also providing fresh towels. We did sample the continental breakfast, which was lovely, and good value for money. However, we did find a little cafe over the road for lighter bites that suited us better. There are also good transport links for the lovely beach and old town; would definitely recommend this hotel. A special mention to Estella on reception, who was very helpful during our stay.

Warning : this hotel is ready to scam guests. I accidentally made a double booking at this hotel. When I arrived, the staff told me to resolve the issue through Booking.com, even though it was clearly their responsibility to handle it in the end. Later, they tried to dissuade me, pleading to keep my money and finally claimed they had processed a refund (which I never received), offered no official proof of any transaction, and eventually blocked me on WhatsApp. This level of unprofessionalism is simply shocking. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, they treat customers like cash machines. It’s unacceptable and shameful.

Great at everything, but don't have lunch/dinner there.

Quiet little hotel, great pool area, great service, good breakfast... but the lunch/dinner menu is limited and way too expensive for the quality of the food. We ended up going to Porto by Mosquito instead since it was the same price bracket and the quality was waaay superior.

Comfortable attractive hotel with friendly helpful staff

Comfortable. Good breakfast with good choice of food. Attractive pool area, unheated pool. Location halfway between old town and seafront, both reached by 92 bus in the next street along. Metro station close by. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. It’s a small but good hotel.
