We booked this place for 4x nights but lasted 21 hours and checked out and booked somewhere else immediately the next morning. When we arrived, the place was empty, no other people around (which says it all really) . The person behind the desk was friendly, greeted with a complimentary orange juice and shown to our room which was abysmal. There were no windows, no balcony, but we were given a glass side door straight to the corridor so we could see a bit of the sea.. which is silly, because we’re not going to open up our bedroom for staff and guests (if any) to look in and make ourselves vulnerable to that. The rooms are dusty with cobwebs and spiders in the corner. And the beds are like bricks. The bar is upstairs, we went there for drinks and brought them to the pool. There is barely any staff there for such a large hotel, our empty glasses were still there hours later. When it came to dinner, the garlic bread was solid as if it had been out for days, the penang curry was lovely. But when we got up there we were given the menus and asked what we wanted before we even looked… then when we asked for some time.. they then sat on their phones for 25 minutes before coming back to take our order.. we were the only 2 people there in the restaurant. We ordered 2 drinks along with our food. At the end when we signed our tab to put it on our room.. they forgot to put our drinks on. We went to bed early and had a knock on our glass door at 9pm to sign our tab , waking us up.. which is a bit silly considering we were staying 4 nights. We were already displeased at the conditions of the mattress we were sleeping on, so was amazed we had managed to drift off in the first place, so was very angry that they were knocking on the door at that hour. We did not sleep well at all and could not manage a further nights sleep in such an appalling bed. Our room, 321 even had springs popping out of the mattress at the bottom. Solid as a rock bed and would not recommend staying here for the price we paid we have found an even cheaper 4 star hotel with comfier beds. It is not worth the money. We wrote to the hotel through booking.com as we thought it would be better for communication to explain we were unhappy and see about a partial refund for the remaining days we are not staying.. but they did not respond. We booked a new hotel, went to the desk to tell them we would be leaving and could they refund, which they declined and said they couldn’t, we would need to speak to booking . Com which we are dealing with now. But upon checkout when handling the bill for our dinner and drink each, we asked if there was anything the hotel could do about that considering how poor the stay was and explaining how unsatisfied we were , they said they couldn’t. There was no effort to make us feel better at all. Would not recommend , I have stayed in hostels nicer than this. We did not take any pictures of the hotel as we were far too disappointed . There is a lovely view from the pool, but even the sun loungers are solid and uncomfortable. I agree with a lot of other reviews that it needs refurbishments. The sun loungers all have rips in them they are very old. Really bad experience. Don’t waste your money. It’s up in the hills and no shops near by, you need a grab or taxi or moped to get around. And trust me, you will want to leave the hotel and not spend your day there, so take into consideration how much you will be paying each day to get around also. Before here, we stayed at a place called Coral Cliff, which was Beautiful and cheaper.. unfortunately they had no more rooms for the time we wanted or we wouldn’t have stayed here at all!
