Sandos Benidorm Suites

Outstanding hotel. Food was impeccable. Rooms were clean and spacious ( had a junior suite pool view ). Plenty of beds around the pool. Good evening entertainment. Bar staff did not restrain from putting plenty of spirits in the wide range of drinks. Must give a big shout out to Ainhoa the fantastic entertainments lady, so full of fun and energy. Sandos fell on their feet when they employed her. If you don’t want to play volleyball don’t use a sunbed close to the pool. They have a habit of tipping up lol. All the staff were extremely friendly and hard working. Yes I would deffo go back there. My only regret that for this 77 yr old it was a bit too far a walk from the Benidorm nightlife so had to pay for taxis.

Not a 4* hotel but a good 3*. Please see our honest review below. ROOM The room and bathroom were clean. We were three people though and the pull out bed was awful, the mattress was the same thickness as mattress topper at home! Very uncomfortable, had a metal edge to keep the mattress in, caught myself in more than once, also lots of nooks and crannies, would be aware of children by it. The separate bedroom did not have mirror or anywhere for the girls to put toiletries, make up etc. No TV in this room. We had a kitchenette which we had not asked for, made the room smaller, so would have preferred not to have. No tea/ coffee etc supplied, had to get from the bar. Not sure about the water in the fridge, tasted off so did not drink. The balcony space was lovely and big with good airer and 4 chairs and a table. Please note we arrived lunchtime on our first day and there were no pool towels left!!!! We had to wait for breakfast the next morning to collect. FOOD The food is very good, always something to eat that we liked, one very fussy eater. Waiting staff very quick to take plates though! Some of the plates and cutlery could have been cleaner. BAR Drinks were self service in restaurant. This is the one area that really lets this hotel down. All drinks are served in plastic glasses, no problem with this by the pool but I expect glass in the evenings! Even worse, I ordered a coffee … this was served in a plastic glasses, unbelievable!! No waiter service in the evenings when the entertainment was on, this caused long queues at the bar at peak periods. However, the bar staff were lovely. POOL AREA Clean, always sun beds available. ENTERTAINMENT This varied, usual flamenco, singers etc. the duo on the Friday night and the female singer on the Sunday were very good. We really enjoyed the quiz and bingo! CLEANLINESS The hotel and the resort are spotless. SUMMARY Overall, we were only at the hotel for 4 nights, it was adequate but could be a 4* with some simple improvements.

What can I say apart from I loved the hotel, also the staff who worked so hard. The food was hit and miss but it was edible. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much for them. The destination was close enough to the beach too walk. The rooms are very good and really had comfy beds. I will definately be coming back here as it has everything I need from a holiday. Thanks also for the help you all gave me when I fainted at the bar, you really went above and beyond. Anthony 2103 xx

My second visit to the Sandos Suites. The first time was so good I had to come back again, this time with the wife, the first time was with friends and we had separate rooms each. I noticed that in the room had no drawers and lacking storage for 2 people, I never noticed this when it was just me in the room! Also only one small bin in the room. The 2 Claire's checked us in with a good smile and chat, sending us down for lunch just before the restaurant closed. Denis the restaurant manager remembered me. He's a great friendly guy, always ready for a chat. I don't understand the odd complaint about him on trip adviser, he took the trouble to ask if we needed anything else to eat before the restaurant closed at 3pm. I did see him ask a woman to leave the restaurant to get something to cover herself up, as she had a bikini on. Well said Denis! Not everyone wants to see loads of flesh while you are eating. Most hotels I've stayed in ( including the Don Pancho ) the restaurant managers hardly look at you, but Denis stops at most tables for a hello. A few of the waiters / waitresses in the restaurant didn't look too happy, but that's OK, I wouldn't want their job. The food in the restaurant was very good most days. Salmon at lunch was a treat. Large prawns, carved meat all tasted great. The on-site Indian was OK, not great, not bad. Jeni, the woman serving at the bar was outstanding, friendly and smiley, well done her. The outside pool bar was open for this visit and I was very impressed. Service was fast, queue were dealt with no problems. The pool bar food was exceptional. Donar Kebabs, Burgers, hot dogs and salads. All cooked by a smiley chef. Wi-Fi around the pool could be very slow, but fine in the building. We couldn't understand a word the bingo caller said, a screen on the stage with the bingo numbers would have helped. We will probably stay again, but as I approach 70 years old, I notice the hill is getting steeper than it used to be!

Was a beautiful hotel food was good for what it was very close to the Benidorm strip all inclusive drinks where strong most staff were very smiley and friendly would recommend. Didn’t want to leave taxis called for you. Zoo and all the other stuff all nice and close you get a living room along with a bedroom pretty big balcony honestly if you’re thinking about going you 1000% should
