Overall wasn’t a bad nor great experience. Some good points and bad points as with most hotels/resorts but unfortunately not somewhere I’d shout from the rooftops about. Not sure if we would go back or not, as on a whole it was just a bit disappointing. Good points - Food is amazing, honestly excellent. Food available 24/7. The main buffet restaurant has an incredible choice and couldn’t fault it, Many of the other restaurants were closed, I assume due to being out of peak season and the hotel being quiet so only got to try the Brazilian (probs the only let down) and the teppanyaki (which was 10/10, so much fun and tasty!). Drinks and service is exceptional. Always staff on hand to get you another drink and can’t seem to do enough for you, Always really friendly and make you feel so welcome. Room was spacious and clean with large comfy beds and great (much needed) air conditioning. The setting is superb! With the jungle and the wild animals roaming it is great and we really enjoyed it! Unfortunately though there were quite a few bad points which somewhat spoilt part of our holiday. Bad Points - The selling is awful. Get used to people trying to sell you something all day everyday, it’s relentless. From massages, to trips, to jewellery, photos and anything else you can think of someone is trying to sell you something. The worst part is, the hotel themselves were the worst for it! Trying to sell you their timeshares at their Royal Club (or whatever it’s called). Leaving you letters under your door and on your door handle every day… we got so many calls to our room we had to unhook the phone! One was before 7:30am!! Unacceptable. We ‘upgraded’ to the adults only section we cost us about £150. We didn’t think it was bad at the time but I honestly couldn’t tell you one perk it gets you. The adults only pool no one checks if you have paid to be there etc you just have to look vaguely older than 14 then they don’t challenge you. Was a waste of money and tbh wouldn’t recommend paying for it, as you can access it all for free anyway. In our ‘upgraded’ room our shower didn’t work properly as the handle wouldn’t stay on, so to make the shower work you had to physically hold it on. We reported this on 4 separate occasions to be told it would be fixed and then we gave up, The water cooler also didn’t work and the WiFi in the bedroom was non existent. Finally the pools are not clean at all and unenjoyable to be in. Now it’s understandable that some leaves/flies etc would get in the pool but the level of these just suggests they don’t attempt to clean the properly of the filters aren’t working correctly.
