Sandos Monaco

Hotel is in an excellent location, close to beach and bars but away from the noise. We found the food excellent, with a great choice and good quality at all meals. Rooms very good, cleaned daily. Hotel good in all respects with only a few negatives. There was a shortage of bar staff resulting in long queues. The non smoking area was disregarded, even though it was clearly marked as such. However, the worst problem for us was the fact that sunbeds and parasols were reserved for hours without being used, one near us was unused for 6 hours! This situation could easily be monitored with belongings being removed after an hour of non use. Some very selfish people even reserved two beds, one in each area to benefit from the sun and shade. These problems would not prevent us from returning to a potentially excellent hotel, but would definitely have improved our experience.

Immaculately clean hotel. Great room and wow view from 16th floor. Lift took just 30 seconds to get to the restaurant. Food off the scale of amazing, especially the pork, the salads and the vast array of choices. Not a single bad meal experience. Pool and snack bar area great. Great location next to everything and 300m from the beach and seafront nightlife in both directions.

This hotel just gets better on each visit, this is my 4th. We asked for a high room and got the 15th floor fabulous view. Room was clean and in good order, beds are huge and the bathroom had a walk in shower, which I also requested. The room wasn’t ready on arrival so we went to lunch. The food always has an amazing choice and was hot and replenished regularly. Breakfast is especially good, something to suit the fussiest taste. Location is good for the old town, strip or buses to other locations. We did a day in Altea, it was the worst bus journey we have had, bus was crammed, hot and not pleasant. Would consider pricing a taxi in future as the bus took an hour, goes all around the world. Return journey was the same. Entertainment in hotel was good until the last night. Something about casino night, waste of time. Had a singer on that night at 10pm. He started singing “Please don’t go”, room cleared after that. If you don’t know something, ask the staff they are very helpful. Fridge in room , didn’t need air conditioning as early in season and prefer to,leave door open, lots of sirens day and night.

We came here in beginning of April due to a change in hotel's as the one we booked with was having work done so had a choice to move, we are so glad we did from the minute we was there to going home was great, we enjoyed that much we actually came back end of May for 7 days, its in a great location near old town and the strip. rooms were lovely and clean and beds so comfy, also have kettle in room and a mini fridge with a bottle of water in, if you ask at bar they will give you tea ,sugar, coffee and milk. food was great plenty of choice, only think i would say is would be nice to have tinned tomatoes for breakfast but that's me being fussy. all the staff was great cant complain about any of them, they work so hard, Judith never stops and she great and so much energy. stopped in rooms 503 and 607, did like 503 better for some reason, we are back in December and April too, so looking forward to being back there, hope to get on 5th floor again and room over looking the entrance see you soon
