Nothing to possibly complain about.

We are here now, we travel home tonight. This is our 3rd visit to the Sandos, This time we came with 4 friends, as it's been my husband's 60th birthday, while we were here. We all upgraded to Royal Elite, can definitely recommend it, a lovely roof top bar, an airconned, inside bar, lovely restaurant. Food has been fab. Not keen on the snack bar food & drink, but that's my personal preference. Staff have all been helpful & polite. Bedding & towels, changed daily. The whole place is kept clean. Had a few drinks/meals out. Lani's Tex Mex, at the beautiful Rubicon Marina, was fantastic, a little traditional Spanish restaurant, just 5 mins walk from the hotel. We took the Ferry to Fueraventura & enjoyed a great curry. All in all we've had a great time.

never a 4 *, on the plus side rooms were clean, the food was fine, which is probably good as their only themed restaurant was only open a couple of nights which is surprising for a hotel this big in June ! we have stayed in numerous all inclusive holidays and we feel the main problem with this hotel was it was badly understaff, from the poor spasmodic entertainment to the long wait in the bar because of lack of staff, they will need to up their game substantially when they reach peak season.

Paid our second visit to papagayo, everything pretty much the same, food was excellent. Most of the staff were very friendly and polite, the place was clean and the rooms were cleaned daily. This time we tried royal elite and I can honestly say it was amazing. yes you pay a bit more but you can clearly see that it’s well worth the money. The only downside that I found about the complex was the lack of umbrellas around the pools.

Excellent Second Visit Thankyou

This was our second stay at this hotel and I was as impressed as on my first visit 2 years ago. We travelled with Tui and on arrival at the hotel we were lucky enough to be offered an upgrade to a front facing sea view room. Although we were very grateful of this and the room did have great pool and sea view. On reflection we did prefer our room on the first visit which was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the landscape. The rooms were identical of very good size with a large bathroom with overbath shower. Our room was cleaned daily to a very good standard with clean bedding and towels provided. Due to health reasons I requested cleaning to be undertaken later in the morning and the staff were more than happy to provide. All staff were found to be friendly and provide high standards of service. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and I requested flowers to be placed in the room . The hotel arranged these and placed within the room at the exact time I requested. It was also very nice to receive an additional bottle of wine alongside the flowers from the hotel. The food was plentiful and of very good quality. I always found a wide choice at all meal times and my wife being a vegetarian also found choices available. One suggestion would be to consider separating the vegetarian options into section away from the meat dishes. This would help identify appropriate dishes. We had no difficulty finding sun beds around the adult only pool which we went most days The pool is very cold though taking some getting used to. We didn't use any of the other pools though there did appear available sunbeds most of the time. Cleaning around the whole hotel was meticulous and the staff work none stop to keep up good standards. If I were to make any criticism it would simply be that the room I stayed in H1212 was probably getting ready for re decorating and/or upgrade but I understand that at some time this would be required for any room and this had no impact on the quality of my holiday. I would advise requesting a higher floor room as the views are great from all sides. We will return again as Playa blanca is a lovely quiet relaxed resort and Sandos Papagayo in my opinion is a high level 4 star hotel providing excellent service throughout their all team

Relaxing week in the sunshine

We had a lovely relaxing week. Check-in was straight forward. Rooms clean with tea / coffee facilities. Loads of sunbeds yet some people still reserve these. Some days you can sit for hours before they appear, stay for 10 minutes and then depart again. In my opinion there is a shortage of umbrellas which the hotel should address as some areas (particularly terraces) are exposed. There always seemed to be loads going on entertainment wise throughout the day and into the evenings. Food was surprisingly good for all inclusive. We tried the Asian night and also Mexican. Asian was not up to much if I am honest but Mexican was OK. No issues with drinks. Staff always friendly. Just a point of note, there is nothing much around this hotel but there is a lovely costal walk into the marina which takes about 30 minutes (there is also a bus service daily which the hotel provides). Check-out is at 12 and whilst you are not guaranteed to be able to keep your room on there is a complimentary room you can use for half an hour (this has to be booked). The use of all facilities available until you leave for the airport.

Sandos Papagayo . All Inclusive is located on the seafront in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The hotel is close to beaches of the Papagayo Natural Park (600m). The Timanfaya National Park is 20 km away. The rooms are spacious and bright, with a balcony with views, bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV with international channels. Each room provides a safety deposit box (supplement charge). The complex provides four outside pools, gym, minigolf and sports center, plus spa, sauna and steam bath. It also has eight bars,and a snack bar, as well as a few restaurants: - International Restaurant - Italian Restaurant - Fusion Restaurant: Alternately Mexican/Oriental Nights The front desk is 24 hour manned and has a tourist information including car rental and tour services.
