Perfect getaway !

Ohh Santhiya ! You beautiful heavenly abode ! I am at loss of words as to how and from where I start this review. Ok, so it was a 30 minute boat ride from Grand Marina. Things were a little chaotic at the pier office - may be because small place & too many ppl – however the staff was extremely efficient and was doing everything at rocket speed. The place had water, tea/coffee, some snacks. They handed us the brochers , room numbers everything and we hopped on our boat. All very standard. Neat & clean boat. The moment we entered santhiya , it felt like another world altogether. Beautiful landscapes, the wooden architecture of the entire place was gorgeous. We were provided with some welcome drinks & snacks, some std information was given to all the ppl arrived from that ferry. After a while , we were off to our room in the buggy – which was wooden too !!! Very well thought & aesthetic! We stayed in Sea water pool villa & here are the things I loved : 1) The architecture of the place is breathtaking. Very well thought of designs, beautiful décor – extremely intricate designs – looked like someone really poured their heart into designing it. 2) The villa was huuuuuggggeee !!! It had a living room, a study/closet/passage , a beautiful bedroom and a biiiigggg bathroom. 3) All the amenities in place. Minibar well stocked. Tea/Coffe , water – everything there. 4) Since the place is nestled amongst forest, occasionally there were bugs/lizards, but hats off to the housekeeping team, they would arrive in a jiffy after calling them & would take care of everything with such beautiful smiles and impeccable courtesy. 5) The property is very well maintained , very quite & calm. The views are to die for. I could stay there forever! 6) You can go to the nearby village – there is a lil café, one grocery mart & other small lil shops. 7) There are a lot of activities to do in the resort itself. Its structured very nicely even for solo travelers – I found the place extremely safe. 8) The staff – from housekeeping to serving in restaurants to chefs to buggy ppl to front desk – everyone – and I mean every single person there was genuinely nice , courteous ,kind & helpful - They all had such infectious smiles on thr faces which looked coming straight from thr hearts. 9) The food was good . The buffet spread was very elaborate – even for a vegetarian person like me. I was very happy with the food. There were 3 restaurants – all of them equally good. I recommend trying one by the beach atleast once – it’s a very peaceful experience – sound of the waves, wind blowing through your hair – stars and the moon – drinks & food with your loved ones – or even solo ! I can go on and on about this place & I wish we could extend our stay. We are definitely coming back :D . I guess I will close off now by paying my heartfelt gratitude to every single person there for making our vacation such a cherishable and memorable one ! Thank you.

Our stay at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa was truly magical. Nestled on a peaceful island with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, the resort combines traditional Thai elegance with luxurious comfort. The teakwood room with ocean view and open-air bathtub were stunning and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Daily breakfast was diverse and delicious, with beautiful sea views to start the day. The boat transfer was smooth and added to the experience of a true island escape. This resort is perfect for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and be close to nature without sacrificing comfort. Highly recommended—we’d return in a heartbeat!

A beautiful resort. Clean and well maintained, great facilities. Great options of free and paid activities, variety and quality of food is great and spa was nice and overall good value. Staff are really lovely - overall excellent service. Our kids 3 and 5 had a blast. Highly recommend and we hope to be back again some time. Small bits of feedback would be to offer some kids activities (e.g crafts), better barista coffee, offer free for kids under 5 for buffet dinner or a limited al la carte rte kids menu.

Awesome Stay

We (me and my wife) had an absolutely wonderful experience at Santhiya. The room was stunning, with a breathtaking sea view that made every sunrise magical. The facilities were top-notch—especially the infinity pool which truly felt like a blessing after a day of exploring. The resort also offers a great range of activities that kept us engaged and added to the overall experience. The staff were courteous, the natural wooden design blended beautifully with the island vibe, and everything felt serene and well-maintained. Only one small suggestion to make this paradise even better: it would be ideal to have a jet ski or emergency watercraft operator on standby at the beach to ensure immediate response in case of any water-related emergencies. Safety on the water is just as important as the luxury on land. Overall, highly recommended for a peaceful, scenic, and luxurious island escape.
