Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights in early September 2025. The receptionist who checked us in at the front desk was very kind, and attentive to detail. She explained the island and everything there is to do, and offered land/boat tours (but was not too pushy). They gave us a cool towel, aperol spritz and tiramisu cakes upon our arrival. And the bellman brought our luggage into our room. The hotel offers WhatsApp communication which is brilliant. The hotel pick up from the port was amazing. Would do again in a heartbeat, especially after a ferry. The room was large and spacious: seating area, living room, bedroom and washroom. - The AC was at the front of the room, which was not ideal considering the bedroom is all the way the back and it took a few hours to cool down the room. The AC was strong and did cool down the room eventually. - The bed was not comfortable, unless you like squishy mattresses. If you like firm, then you will not sleep well. You basically sink inside. Luckily we only had two nights, so we just dealt with what we had. - The washroom was large, as was the shower, but the way it was built was awkward in the sense that the shower head was right next to the door, so you had no space to properly wash and yet the shower was huge. Very strange. - The major downside was the smell, the fragrance, the intoxicating perfume that they spray the rooms with after cleaning. Being sensitive to smells, I can tolerate some fragrances and detergents, but this was next level. I cannot understand why they would do this, until I realized it was the mask the smell of mold/sewer coming from the washroom. Not ideal, again, we only had 2 nights so we just dealt - but just to be transparent, the strong smell stayed on all our clothes for the next week and followed us into other hotels. Apparently they spray the curtains, walls and couches. I guess people seem to enjoy it. On the plus side, the breakfast was amazing. Fresh omelettes, fruits, pastries, vegetables, juices, cereals, yogurts, nuts, the whole spread. The view from the restaurant was epic. Overlooking the sea, cannot get better than this. The hotel is on a cliff, overlooking the sea and in the distance you can see Oia. About a 2 minute drive from Fira, you can find an array of restaurants. If renting a car, parking is easily accessible all in the front. Upon checkout, we realized that the famous hike from Fira to Oia passed in front of the hotel, hence why you see so many people with backpacks walking by in the daytime. There is also a wedding venue/club at the end of the road, so some nights were kind of lively in the distance. Overall, a really beautiful resort and happy we choose it for the views and the beautiful sunsets you can catch while comfortably sitting outside your room.
