My girlfriend and I were hiking from Fira to Oía on Santorini, and we were feeling hot and parched, and the good people at Memoria happily welcomed us even though we were just passing through and not staying at the hotel. The staff were kind, welcoming, and overall excellent. Andreo (forgive me, I may have got his name slightly wrong!) recommended delicious local wine and some of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere in quite a while. The roe and olive oil spread was delicious, as was the olive tapenade, and the calamari was fresh with a wonderful texture. The whole meal was amazing, the caldera view was gorgeous, and even though we were a bit sweaty and underdressed for such an elegant restaurant, we were overwhelmed by the kind and hospitable treatment we received. My review might read as hyperbolic, but our experience at Memoria was one of best out of many great experiences of our trip. Extremely highly recommended.
