We booked six rooms for our group and, unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations — particularly at the rate of USD 140–150 per night. Check-in was poorly managed. Despite a 2:00 PM check-in time, none of our rooms were ready until well after 3:00 PM. There was little communication and no meaningful attempt to manage the situation smoothly. The rooms themselves are visibly worn. Chipped paint, stained walls, and an overall tired appearance. The property does not reflect the price being charged. At significantly lower rates, expectations would be different — but at this level, the standard simply does not align. The most concerning aspect, however, was the checkout process. Out of six rooms: • A friend was asked to pay 300 Baht for disposable slippers if not returned. He went back to locate and return them. • He was also asked to pay 300 Baht for a disposable key card. After we challenged this, the charge was removed. • I was asked to pay 500 Baht for a missing cup, which I had left in a friend’s room while we were sitting together. Even after explaining where it was, I was required to retrieve and return it personally. More troubling was that when my friend later checked out, staff told him that I had been “trying to steal.” That accusation was both inappropriate and unacceptable. This is not about the small amounts involved. It is about the approach. Charging for disposable slippers and key cards — items that most hotels treat as incidental — creates an uncomfortable and adversarial checkout experience. Hospitality should not feel transactional to this degree. Breakfast was overcrowded and chaotic, with limited selection and average quality. . The overriding issue is the attitude. Rude, accusatory, defensive, and clearly trained to extract fees rather than deliver hospitality. This is a hotel that appears to be compensating for declining standards by inventing small charges There are many excellent hotels in Phuket within this price range. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering alternatives
