Seaview Patong

Stayed in the Sea View Patong for 10 nights June 9th to the 19th. Please ignore all the bad reviews. This hotel was absolutely perfect. My room was on the third floor. I had a lovely view of the pool and you could also see Patong beach in the background. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel does come across as slightly old but please don't let this distract you from it's wonderful thai ambiance. Room was cleaned daily, bedding changed daily and fresh towels were always provided. I went with the all inclusive option which included drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately I didn't wake up in time to sample the breakfast but the lunch and dinner options were plentiful and also cooked to a high standard. There was lots of thai choices and quite a few western option ranging from pizza, pasta and chicken. I thoroughly enjoyed each meal I ordered and the presentations of each dish showed that the chef really enjoyed creating a lovely dish. The drinks were also an added bonus ranging from cocktails, water, coca cola, sprite, beers and spirits. Again having this option definitely helped save me money and it was super convenient to have drinks available as I walked past the bar daily. The hotel has 2 swimming pools and the sun shines on them all day. The pool could be a bit deeper but that's a minor concern with me being scrupulous. The staff also need a mention. Every member of staff I came across were very welcoming and they all spoke English to a very high standard. The staff were always smiling and always said hello which provided me with a deep satisfaction making me feel very welcome at the hotel. The guys behind the bar and reception really are a credit to themselves and the hotel. The location of the hotel is an added bonus as well. Bangla road is a 15 minute walk but there are plenty of taxis and tuk tuks outside the hotel if you don't wish to walk. Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again. For the price as well you really can't moan. If you are expecting the Ritz please don't bother but if you need a nice room in a charming and captivating hotel the Sea View Patong ticks all boxes. Please ignore the bad reviews and don't hesitate to book here. Quite simply a stunning hotel with a perfect location away from all the madness. Already looking at booking this hotel for my next visit to Patong.

The hotel is very traditionally Thai style right on the sea front with steps up to reception, luckily our taxi driver carried our cases up and it was raining. Our room was at the very far end of the hotel, we asked to be moved nearer to the facilities which was dont the very next day no problems.Rooms were clean, sheets changed as were towels and tea tray replenished also bottles of water. Ok it's one of the old hotels and a bit ruff here and there. It didn't take way from its charm. Pool and surrounding areas were beautiful, and there were plenty of sunbeds, pool towels provided. However, the tiles surrounding the pool were ultra slippy when wet and boiling hot, always wearing shoes. We did see 2 elderly gentleman fall one needing stitches in his head. The staff were friendly and helpful all very young. My only real criticism was the steps, particularly to the dining room, as we were entering the rainy season they were ofter wet and made negotiating them very precarious, could do with some handrails. When you got to the dining room the breakfast was tops, lots of choice, with lots of fresh fruit and an egg station for however you wanted your eggs. The hotel was on the edge of the resort making it nice and quiet, bars shops pharmacy and restaurant were within a couple of minutes walk away, all in all a lovely stay, we had a good relaxing time there and would return.

Don't listen to all the negative reviews about this hotel. We stayed for 16 nights in March we booked a superior room on the ground floor by the pool, and it was honestly faultless. Cleaned everyday, with fresh towels and bedding. The staff are very friendly and are on hand to help. Breakfast there is a large selection of goods from fresh fruit to cooked breakfast, and it was always hot and fresh. Lunch you can order from the pool bar menu with a variety of Thai and western dishes which are all to a great standard. Great hotel for the price and location.

The rooms smell damp🤑🤑. The rooms are extremely dark, possibly due to the dark wood, everywhere. You have no chance of a sleep in, as they are knocking on the door between 8am and 8.30am to clean. Cockroaches in the bathroom this morning🤑🤑. The toilets when your not in your room, are over a bridge. In the pool. Reqlly not great.!!!. And I'm not picky, I stayed in the jungle, in a tent before arriving here. And had no complaints, at all. The hotel needs a xomplete refurb. Brightening up, and should be run by adults, not teenagers!!!!. Would never come back to this 🤬
