Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa

My husband and I recently stayed at Secrets Cap Cana for a quick parent’s getaway and enjoyed every minute. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were attentive to our needs. From beach waitresses to a personal concierge, our every need was met and exceeded. Our concierge, Francis, scheduled all our dinner reservations and arranged our five spa services. We didn’t think twice since he took care of every detail. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and responsive while delivering a level of service you expect at a luxury resort. The spa was peaceful and serene. At times, we were the only ones at the spa pool. The fitness center had what you needed in terms of equipment, towels, stocked beverage fridge. Food and drinks were delicious for every meal. Yoga on the beach and sailing were activity highlights. The attention to detail in care of the property was evident given the cleanliness of the grounds, beach, and pool. Overall the property was perfect for a parent’s getaway, leaving the stress of work and parenting at home while enjoying the luxury of Secrets Cap Cana.

We were swept away with Secrets Cap Cana! We don't travel much so we put a lot of thought into where we would want to go where we felt safe and had exceptional service, along with gorgeous amenities. Well, SCC was it! The location isn't far from the airport and really is a hidden. The beach was beautiful! The sand was white and not as fluffy as maybe a Florida beach, but it made it easier to walk around. We enjoyed the towel service and waitresses at the beach a few days. The beach bar had a great bartender, Cristian. He was energetic and loved his job. Our room, was a junior ocean view room. Not preferred but on the 6th floor of the 5th building over the Italian and French restaurants. Perfect view of the entire resort and the ocean. We were centrally located and could be anywhere in just a few minutes. We were not in the room much so the preferred room was not a priority for us. The bed was comfortable, the view was amazing, and the bathroom was a great size with a huge double shower. Our concierge, Angelo, was AMAZING! He provided TOP-NOTCH support throughout our week. We are not used to asking for anything but he would send a daily itinerary every day and come find us to check-in, daily. He was kind, thoughtful, and did anything he could to make our stay amazing and it was. This was a very belated honeymoon trip and he even had our room decorated mid-week for our Honeymoon! We did not ask him to do that, he just had it done. We asked him for extra beer and water for our room refrigerator and he made that happen in no time. He was the best! The room was cleaned every day and there was a turn-down service every evening. There wasn't really any noise and we slept so great being right in paradise. This resort had the best food! We loved Portofino and ate there twice. The lasagna Bolognese is SO good! El Patio was great and the margarita card made the meal fun too. We enjoyed Bordeaux as well. They had the best dessert! We enjoyed the Mexican themed night by the pool terrace. It was beautifully decorated and the meal was different from El Patio and very good! Angelo helped us get a reservation at Himitsu and it was very good as well. It was probably our second favorite. We ate dinner and lunch at the Seaside Grill and loved the varieties they had. For lunch they brought by a dessert coffee cart and had a sweet man peeling oranges and serving them in sweet cream. It was the best orange we've ever eaten. We had breakfast in Market Cafe each day (we loved Sonia and Maria!) and the variety is nothing short of amazing. Whatever you can think of it's there! CoCo Cafe had great coffee that we had each morning and sweet treats throughout the day. Most days we enjoyed Barefoot Grill for lunch so we could continue to hang out poolside. Speaking of pool, we spent time at each pool but the nearest the Sugar Reef Bar and Barefoot Grill was our favorite. It was our favorite because all of our favorite staff was nearby. Esperanza handed out towels and had so much information about the resort including drinks to order and ingredients of drinks. She was SO kind, loving, and I miss her now that we aren't there every day. She learned our names I swear without us even telling her. She was exceptional and I can't say enough about her. We also loved our poolside waitresses, Yoirainis and Santa. They knew so much and were so quick to come by and constantly check on us. My husband loved to visit the bar and bartenders. We loved Junior and Alvero. They knew us right away and knew what we liked to order. They are so great at their job and just outstanding staff. We did not schedule any excursions but instead wanted to relax fully and be at the pool and beach. The entertainment crew was the best! They got us to play games when we originally said we weren't going to. Scooby, Maria, Mini-Me, Jhon Cena was all SO GREAT. My husband loves karaoke and after the first night when Scooby was working it by Sugar Reef bar we fell in love. He learned my husband's name, David, very quickly and knew he would take the microphone! He is a GREAT employee who we miss as well. Maria helped him many nights and she is absolutely precious. I wish I could have taken her home with me! They invited us to karaoke our last night in the preferred club and stayed later one night at the Sugar Reef bar because the karaoke crowd was in full swing. Jhon Cena and Mini-Me were fun for the games during the day, along with Maria and Scooby. I loved that they knew our names and would talk to us. The staff absolutely made our trip the best ever. The shows were great in the evening with the Beatles tribute band being our favorite. The crowd made the show, we had some energetic crowd members who loved to dance. We also enjoyed the spa one morning. We had a couples massage scheduled and Beri and Ara were probably the best masseuses we've ever had but also Yelfri took us around the hydrotherapy pool. That was an experience in itself and completely free and optional. But we would say DO IT! It felt good and Yelfri was entertainment and fun while doing it. We ended our morning with cucumber slices over our eyes, thick robes to lay in and cool towels for our faces while sipping pineapple water. The hydrotherapy pool is a must! We weren't ready to come home after 7 nights but cannot wait to go back. We miss the staff and all of the ones mentioned should receive raises. They went above and beyond for their jobs. We loved them so much!

Our stay at Secrets Cap Cana was amazing! The staff took wonderful care of us, especially our butler, Miguel! The food was incredible, the beaches were beautiful, and the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend!

Just come back from an amazing stay at Secrets Cap Cana. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful and kept so well. The food was lovely and the staff were amazing throughout our stay – everyone made us feel so welcome. A special shoutout to Bienvenido at breakfast – such a friendly and attentive member of staff and a great start to the day. We also loved the little details like the secret box for room service, getting our coffees delivered in the morning without even seeing anyone – such a great touch! We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend.

We returned to Secrets Cap Cana this year for our second stay after a wonderful visit last year, and it confirmed why we wanted to come back. If anything, this trip was even better. The service begins the moment you arrive. As soon as we stepped off the airport shuttle we were handed a glass of champagne, and our bags disappeared and were already in our suite by the time we got there. We stayed in the Preferred Club in an oceanfront bungalow with a plunge pool. The view of the ocean from the room was beautiful, and the plunge pool turned out to be something we used almost every day. The Preferred Club includes butler service, and ours provided outstanding service throughout the week. He seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked and took care of every detail so we could simply relax and enjoy our time there. Having stayed here before, we already knew the resort was special, but it was reassuring to see that the level of service and attention to detail remains just as strong. The entire property is exceptionally well run. Staff members are constantly cleaning the pool areas, checking on guests at the beach, and making sure everything looks perfect. The rooms were spotless every day. The location is also ideal. Cap Cana is only about 20–30 minutes from the Punta Cana airport, which makes arrival and departure easy. The resort sits on roughly a mile of beautiful beach that’s perfect for walking. The water is clear, sparkling blue, and very clean. Staff remove seaweed before sunrise each morning and rake the beach throughout the day to keep it looking pristine. Because this is an adults-only resort, the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The Preferred Club pool and beach areas in particular were very peaceful, which was exactly the kind of quiet we were looking for. There were several highlights during the week. Breakfast at Rosewater each morning (with mimosas) was a great way to start the day. The lunches served on the beach were relaxed and delicious. Dinners at El Patio, the Mexican restaurant, were particularly good—although honestly every restaurant we tried was excellent. Secrets Cap Cana is not an inexpensive resort, but the value becomes clear once you’re there. Because it’s all-inclusive, everything is taken care of—whether it’s drinks on the beach, an extra mimosa at breakfast, lunch by the water, dinner at any of the resort’s 10 restaurants, or live entertainment in the evenings. Once you arrive, you simply enjoy the experience without thinking about additional costs. What really stands out is the attitude of the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind. When you thank someone and they say, “It’s my pleasure,” you get the sense that they truly mean it. After two visits, we can say Secrets Cap Cana consistently delivers an exceptional experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back again.
