Secrets Riviera Cancun All Preferred-Adults Only

The Secrets Resort is the spot to pick if you are looking for a small quiet all-inclusive get away. Staff is very friendly and attentive to the guests. Lunches outside the Rosewater Grill were delish. We would visit again and recommend highly for mature groups looking for the resort experience without the "spring break" chaos.

The Secrets was an absolutely unforgettable experience, we were very impressed. We are no stranger to vacations, including having frequented the Club Meds, Royaltons, and other resorts several times a year. The Secrets had full amenities, excellent poolside service, absolutely delicious food and drinks, and a host of entertainment. The staff, including Pedro and Luis, made the trip memorable, as they organized beach volleyball activities each day and made our stay very enjoyable. The Sommelier, Antonio Ramirez, was charming and passionate about wine, delivering exceptional service in the Cava and Coquette restaurants. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, the size, and location. The Secrets side is intimate, which creates a differentiation from the more lively side at Breathless. Nonetheless, a short walk to all the restaurants and cafe on Breathless side really made the experience unique. Secrets side beach was also very beautiful and well-maintained each day, including tractors and staff that cleaned the beach. The beach volleyball on Secrets side was very well kept. The Breathless side less so, rocky and prone to more injuries in beach volleyball. The cons: Reserving restaurants was impossible/not applicable, unless you commit to 200USD of wine bottles. We were promised that the concierge could reserve restaurants, but that was not the case when we arrived. The Strip Grill Steakhouse, for example, took nearly 2 hours to get in (most probably an exceptional night). Other places required on average 30-45 minute waits. Being on the Secrets Preferred Member status, we thought this would be different given the amount we paid. Nonetheless, we enjoyed all the restaurants, and ironically enough, they were worth the wait. Another con was that you could not reserve your seat by the poolside if you disappeared for 30 minutes, they would take your belongings and bring it to the lost and found. While I understand the rationale to this for those hoarding the spots, when you are paying premium, it should be modified. Overall, for the value, the food, the staff, the amenities, and the entertainment, we get excellent variety and a very enjoyable stay that warrants us coming back every year. If all Secrets are similar to this, we may have found our new niche.

We went here for our anniversary and had an excellent experience. The Secrets side was exactly what we were hoping for and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant on the Secrets side, Rosewater, was excellent. On the Breathless side things were a little more busy and noisy, but it was nice to only visit the restaurants and spend the majority of time at the pool at Secrets The entertainment was also excellent for the crowd, pool-side Saxophone, Duet performance. If you wanted more lively activity you could head over to Breathless, but we preferred to stay on the Secretes side.

My family and I stayed at this resort for two weeks in April, and overall, it was a truly wonderful experience. We stayed on the Secrets side, with the Breathless side serving as an extension of the property. Highlights: • Staff: The service was exceptional throughout our stay. I would particularly like to recognize the team at Rosewater Restaurant (located on the Secrets side). Their outstanding hospitality made a lasting impression — they greeted us warmly each day, often remembered our names and preferred orders, and even took the time to personally say goodbye on our last day. Special thanks to Alberto, Julian, Lino, Jose, Karla, Yesenia, and Andres. We are deeply grateful for their kindness and attention to detail. • Pool Staff and Servers: A big thank you to Juan, Daniel, Adrian, Mar, and Cruz for their consistently kind, helpful, and attentive service. • Bar Staff (VIP Lounge): Louis and Alfredo were exceptional and made our visits to the VIP Lounge thoroughly enjoyable. • Service Concierge: Valerie provided outstanding assistance throughout our stay and was always accommodating. Pool: The pool on the Secrets side was exactly what we were hoping for — quiet, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding. Dining: The food across all restaurants was excellent, with a wide variety of options and no difficulty finding delicious meals at any time. Entertainment: The “Black Horse” duo performing country music around the pools added a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere during the day. The DJs were also very accommodating with song requests, which added to the fun. Housekeeping: Housekeeping was excellent, with rooms cleaned daily and often refreshed again in the evening for turn-down service. Areas for Improvement: • Beach: Unfortunately, the beach area was a disappointment for us. If you enjoy long beach walks, this may not be the ideal resort, as the available beach space for walking was quite limited. Walking to neighboring resorts is possible, but it requires climbing over obstacles and navigating less ideal areas. • Restaurant Ambiance: Aside from Rosewater, most restaurants were quite loud, making conversation during meals difficult. • Early Morning Noise: Most mornings around 4:00 AM, staff collected room service trays, which created significant noise. Although management addressed our concerns, the nature of the task made complete quietness challenging. • Evening Sitting Areas: After dinner, there were limited comfortable spaces to sit and enjoy a relaxed evening drink. Despite a few minor inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort . I would not stay on the breathless side (this is a party resort). We sincerely thank the wonderful staff for making our vacation so special.

From the moment we arrived at Secrets Riviera Cancun, we knew we were in for something special. Every part of our stay was absolutely fantastic, and it’s clear that the resort’s greatest asset is its exceptional staff. The service here is truly above and beyond. Every team member is not only friendly and welcoming but they genuinely take the time to get to know you. It’s such a personal experience — they remember your preferences and make every effort to make your stay unforgettable. Special shout-outs are definitely deserved: • Juan at the Preferred Pool provided exceptional hospitality every single day. His attention to detail and warm, genuine care made relaxing by the pool a true luxury. • Luis, the bartender in the Preferred Lounge, was outstanding! He crafted incredible cocktails with such great energy and always had a smile, making every visit to the lounge a pleasure. • Spicy Luis, who kept everyone entertained at the Preferred Pool, brought so much fun and spirit to the experience. His enthusiasm is contagious and made every day by the pool even better! The resort itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and feels like a peaceful, luxurious escape. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying delicious meals, or simply taking in the gorgeous surroundings, every moment was pure bliss. I cannot recommend Secrets Riviera Cancun highly enough. If you’re looking for a vacation where you’re treated like royalty and surrounded by warm, caring people who truly love what they do, this is the place for you. We can’t wait to return!
