Senses Hotel (ex. Leka Hotel)

Ayhan Wow - what an absolutely wonderful hotel! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s gorgeous and what a stunning view. Boutique and adults only, it feels like a calm and private little oasis. The staff as many have mentioned are the heart of this place and truly cannot do enough for you. The full brief: Ayhan, the pool man, is a treasure who always makes sure each bed is made with towels and extras and adjusts your parasol throughout the day. The pool is beautiful and the music isn’t too loud it’s just right. The drinks are great and while we didn’t eat here much, the food was excellent when we did. Each day we would take a taxi into town (no more than 5 euros) and the staff would always order one for us that came in literally a minute. The rooms are also very big and the bathrooms are huge! Such a great size and again value is amazing. Heads up: There is no beach but you can use the hotel opposite all day including food, drinks and beach access for €80 pp. We didn’t do this but it’s an option! The drinks by the pool are pricey but honestly that’s just Bodrum - we are talking €9 a beer! However, there’s a shop and ATM a five minute walk down the road where you can stock up and keep it in your fridge in your room. We still had a couple drinks per day and a lunch and for 7 days spent around €200 so if you add that on top of the room it’s super affordable! Some things we would change: to make it feel extra lux, I would add local or branded body washes; brighter lights in the room and bathroom overall; and a less noisy air conditioner as that thing was seriously going for it lol. Tip: try to get a room on 4th or 5th floor as those are best with the nicest views. Overall we cannot recommend this enough! If it’s your first time in Bodrum you’re close enough to the city, marina and amazing restaurants and in a hotel that caters to your every need. Enjoy!

Our stay at Senses Hotel in Bodrum was truly lovely, thanks to the incredible staff. Okan, the Front Office Manager, was a lifesaver. When we were in a rush to find a birthday dinner spot for my friend, he quickly recommended and booked the perfect restaurant (Bitz). Batuhan at reception was incredibly helpful with taxis and all our questions. Metin was also fantastic, assisting with our bags and whenever we needed help. Special thanks also goes to Gunes the bartender who made the best strawberry daiquiri! We highly recommend Senses Hotel for anyone visiting Bodrum; their service made our trip memorable.

Our stay at Senses was absolutely beautiful. From the lovely staff at reception upgrading our room to a Seaview, to the overall service of all staff - it was a wonderful stay. Special mention to the pool man who delivered exceptional service whilst we utilised the area as well as going above and beyond to help with our bags when we spotted us on the staircase. Laundry was done within 24hrs, breakfast was adequate and overall each staff member was friendly and hospitable. Currently writing this whilst enjoying a goodbye drink in the foyer, thank you once again.

The Senses Hotel is about 3 Kms from the Bodrum Castle. (Which is about a 240 Turkish Lira cab ride, $6.00USD). It a spectacular boutique hotel with a beautiful pool which overlooks the harbor. Our 5th (top) floor room also had a phenomenal view of the harbor. It was very spacious and the bathroom was opulent with an amazing shower with endless hot water. There are a few stairs to deal with but they will carry your luggage to your room. Their restaurant is very, very good and I can honestly say that all of the employees that we dealt at the Senses with were incredible. The breakfast was delicious. Okan at the front desk was particularly exceptional, helpful and spoke flawless English. He gave us lots of local advice, called taxis for us and generally made us feel like VIPs. There is a Migros grocery store about a 12 minute walk from the Hotel where you can buy alcohol, groceries, drinks, essentials, etc at the best prices that you will find in Turkey. Pro tip: buy what you need at a Migros or CarrefourSA in Turkey for the most options and the best prices. We loved the Senses Hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it for adults only.
