If I could give this resort 0 stars, I would. Our stay at Sensira Resort in Mexico was honestly one of the worst vacation experiences we’ve ever had, and I want to warn other families before they spend thousands of dollars and waste their time here like we did. First, many of the amenities they advertise are not even operational. They claim to have activities like zip lining, yet it was completely closed due to being short staffed. That seemed to be the theme across the entire resort — not enough staff and very poor management. The pool and beach chair situation is a complete mess. Guests start “reserving” chairs around 5 AM by throwing a towel or random item on them and leaving for hours. The chairs clearly say no reserving allowed, but the resort does absolutely nothing to enforce it. Staff are barely present around the pool areas, so it becomes a free-for-all. To make matters worse, there seemed to be a pay-to-play situation with the chairs and cabanas. If you tipped or paid the security guard, suddenly a chair or cabana would magically appear for you while everyone else had to wander around trying to find a spot. It felt extremely unfair and poorly managed. We also had a ridiculous situation where the concierge accused me of having my children in the adults-only pool based on a report from a lifeguard. The problem? I was never even there. When I confronted the lifeguard, they admitted they mistook another family for us because the kids had similar life vests. Completely disorganized and embarrassing for them. The restaurants are another disaster. The steakhouse requires reservations three days in advance starting at 9 AM, which is ridiculous when you’re already on vacation. The other restaurants have wait times of 1–2 hours most nights. The buffet food was honestly terrible with very limited options, which is shocking for an all-inclusive resort. The swim-up bar is basically useless because there’s rarely anyone working it. You actually have to get out of the pool and hunt down someone to order a drink, and even then the drink selection is extremely limited. By day 2 of our 7-day stay, we were already trying to figure out how to leave early and were even willing to pay extra to move to another resort. That’s how disappointing this place was. Vacations are expensive and families work hard to afford them. This resort is absolutely not worth your time or money. There are far better resorts in Mexico that actually deliver on what they promise. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
