The grounds and the mountain views are beautiful. The lobby area was also very lovely, that's really where its ends for me. We arrived around 6pm, check in was easy even though nothing was explained to us, like opening times for everything, where to get your pool towels etc.... we were not given towel cards either which were required. before we arrived at the hotel I had emailed the hotel to let them know my mum has walking difficulties and could we have a room if possible in the center of the resort so it was less walking for her, we were informed we would be. We were put in room 4401 & 4402 at the very end of the resort near the kids water park. we explained this at reception but were just fobbed off. We got the golf buggy to the room with our luggage. the rooms were ok, nothing special they were a good size. but they had a really strong fusty stale smell which stayed all week. In my mums room the wall paper was pealing and bubbling on the wall. We had two phones in each of our rooms to contact reception but none of them worked. I did explain this one evening to reception but this was never sorted while we were there. we had a shared pool outside of our room. We would have stayed and sunbathed at this pool but to be honest it wasn't very clean and the lagoon bar next to our pool was not open once in the 7 days we were there so could not get a drink. You do have the mini bar but only a couple of soft drinks, beer and water. We always used the main pool near the beach bar (mare) in the day time. My mum tried to get on the golf buggy one day due to difficulty walking but was told it was only for people with luggage. so she was left to walk the rest of the way. There was nobody on the buggy so it would not have hurt him to drop her off. Id like to state that i have stopped at around 6 different hotels in the Antalya area and I'm aware of what a 5 star hotel should offer. The overall visual appeal of the hotel looks great but break it down and there isn't much else. The service in most bars and dining areas was very slow sometimes none existent. I found myself ordering drinks from a waiter and most of the time 30 minutes later having to chase this up. you could get served at some bars but you would usually be waiting still because there would only be one or maybe two people serving behind the bars. you also couldn't get all the same drinks at all the bars, some bars were only partially stocked. everything was hit and miss. waiters would not acknowledge you when you were waiting to be served and would often be looking at there phone. at breakfast the last few days we just got up and got our own hot drinks because we were tired of waiting or being ignored but then this would annoy the waiters. The waiters on skates were not very good either, they either told you they would be back in 2 minutes to take your order and never return. you had to sort of flag them down as they were coming past and when you asked for a drink it felt like you had asked them to jump off a cliff or something. all the drinks we did have including cocktail's were very good it was just the service that was very very poor. The food was not great either, lost of salad choice but everything else was either deep fried or a some kind of stew. almost the same foods everyday. and breakfast was not great either. Again getting a drink in the restaurant or finding a clean table sometimes was hard. I wouldn't say that the main restaurant was that clean either. You can eat at pranzo near the pool. they have a limited menu, pizza burger that sort of thing. but our food did not once come out together in the times we ate here and sometimes people had finished there dinner when other members hadn't even received there food yet. I had been searching for Bistro 21 most of the week and Id sked a few staff members but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about or understand me (there English is not very good at all) don't expect Turkish people to speak great English after all I'm in their country but I would expect them to understand the basics regarding the hotel. On the last day we were finally informed that Bistro 21 was the main restaurant after 10pm. we thought we would give it a go. do not bother unless you like sausage and chips, omelet, toast. it was not great at all. this was also one of those occasions where I still had not received my food 30min after everybody else had finished there's. just not acceptable!!! Not really any entertainment so evenings were the worst for our group. there were some kind music shows but nothing special and it was the same most nights. then they would just put a large screen on and play random music. this was all in the kids section while we were there, nothing happening at any of the other bars. It was advertised as having a nightclub, but I was informed by a member of staff that they did not have one even though it shows also on there map. a sushi bar was also advertised and this was also not there or open while were there and the hotel was full to capacity so its not like it was out of season. Also never found the vitamin bar, not sure if this was in the spa area but we did not see when we attended We were woken two of the mornings early so that the minibar could be re-stocked, We had no do not disturb signs to put on our door so staff would just show up whenever. We did not try any of the Ala carte restaurants. we were informed they were 30 euros each. I've never been to a 5 star hotel where you have to pay extra for this service. All the picture I've taken make this place look lovely but in reality its not great. I can see its had some great reviews but I paid a lot of money for this holiday and I expected better especially having stayed at other hotels in Antalya paying much less. There is nothing 5 star about this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel I tried talking to our rep whilst there and gust relations but I think it was pointless. lots of people were moaning at guest relations but nothing seemed to be getting done about it.
