Everything we were looking for

Fantastic week at this lovely hotel. Stayed half board and the buffet evening meal and breakfast buffet were wonderful....the staff work so hard to make everything right and all friendly. Special mention to Nicole and Anastasia who are such lovely young ladies,always smiling,helpful and happy to talk. The rooms,views, and outside terrace are all really nice and we were really happy with our choice of location and hotel. If I had anything slightly negative to say..it would be 1: Guests returning late in the evening 11pm onwards,at times 1pm, with young children who are allowed to run down the corridors shouting and making a noise, a few nights we were woken. 2: Kettle in the room, but no water ,teabags, or milk....unless it is allowed for guests to take those items up to their room from breakfast time ? On the whole apart from those 2 niggles, we loved every minute of our stay.

Recent weeks holiday to the Skiathos Palace Hotel. Jet2.com holidays were fantastic from the airport in the UK to the transfer to the hotel. We were on a half board deal with the Skiathos Palace Hotel. Location is fantastic with a beautiful view from the pool deck, short walk down to x2 beaches - we had a family suite room with a large balcony - very nice. Breakfast at the hotel was fine - however the problems we had with Skiathos Palace were : 1. Dinner buffet is very poor - come on Skiathos Palace - no fresh fish, no traditional greek dishes (no stifado, no moussaka, not even a decent soulvaki - a short trip to the nearby restaurants or into Skiathos town - there a plenty of restaurants using these fantastic ingredients (calimari, octopus, fresh fish) that are on their doorstep. Even the greek salad was a poor attempt - one does wonder whether this was an attmept to encourage you to visit the 'additioinal cost' grill restaurant on the upper ddck 2. Cost of drinks - please Skiathos Palace - 5 euros for a coffee and 15 euros for an average cocktail is a rip off - you are ripping off you clients - not on 3. Weddings - during our stay there were x2 weddings - they take over 1/3 of the sun deck for the entire day - forcing the guests into cramped conditions on a lawn - not really on - you really should have a seperate area for weddings Not much needs to be improved to make this an excellent hotel - many europeans will visit expecting local fresh dishes - you can provide this

My daughter and i visited late May 2025. A great hotel in a fabulous position. Pros- Beautiful views, gorgeous rooms, comfy beds, friendly attentive staff, lovely food, great bbq night with music, special mention to the brilliant breakfast staff especially George (omelette with a friendly chat and snile 😃 ) , and the beautiful ladies Nicole and Anastasia!! Only negative was the securing of sunbeds but as we headed to the super beaches this wasn't a major problem.

Great beach , great hotel hbd food vg view is wonderful, alcohol prices 7euros pint 11for gin tonic , hotel is perched on hill travel to beach is a chore so elderly i recommend the shuttle , skiathos town is stunning , would I come again , no thanks

The hotel is situated on a hill, so access for some may be a problem. Quite a steep driveway and the airport buses can only get so far up, but hotel staff were on hand to take our luggage from the bus to the hotel lobby, whilst we walked the short distance. Access to Malatha Beach (part of the hotel) is via quite a few steps, across the road and then down via more steps and dirt path. Once on the beach there are plenty of comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas, although a set of two beds and an umbrella cost EU20 per day. Beach bar and food available. Hotel WiFi is available on the beach. Access to the larger Koukounaries Beach is also via steps and a dirt path, but the hotel runs courtesy buses on a regular basis. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, but these cost more than on Malatha Beach. There are watersports centres on this beach and it can get quite busy when the tourist boats arrive. Hotel is spotlessly clean, with very pleasant and helpful staff. Food is plentiful, tasty and of good quality and variation. Only breakfast and evening dinner is served in the main restaurant, with other snacks available throughout the day at the pool bar. There are quite a few sunbeds and umbrellas on the pool deck, but be aware that many get snaffled up by people putting towels on them early doors. Our room was large and comfortable; the only minor criticism being that the bathroom could do with a bit of a spruce up and, although a kettle is provided, no tea bags, coffee or milk is provided - BYO. Bottles of water are provided in the fridge. If you want to go into Skianthos Town, the public buses are frequent and stop very close to the hotel (Stop 22). Bus fares are EU3 per person, no matter how many stops. The hotel does run a courtesy bus into Skiathos and this should be booked the evening before to ensure a seat. A water taxi is available between the far end of Koukounaries beach and Skiathos town. This cost EU7 per person each way. We took the courtesy bus into Skiathos and got the water taxi back.
