Shockingly Poor Service on Our Honeymoon We booked the hotel for our honeymoon, only to be told upon arrival that our reservation had been moved to a “sister” hotel without our consent. The room we were given was a clear downgrade: no view, no TV, broken bedside lights with exposed wiring, dirty pool areas, broken plant vases, and overall poor cleanliness. When I went back to the original hotel booked to try and fix this, I raised these issues with a staff member named Maria, who claimed to be the manager, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She shouted, refused to take responsibility, and said she was “only a receptionist” with no one higher to speak to. I witnessed as well Maria being rude at the phone with one agent from “love holidays booking” when everyone was just trying to find a solution for this unpleasant happening. At one point, she even shouted at me asking if I wanted her to “kick people out” to accommodate me—completely inappropriate behavior. This ruined what should have been a special honeymoon. The hotel must take responsibility for its mistakes, address serious safety and cleanliness issues, and ensure staff handle guests with professionalism and respect Attached some pictures of the downgraded hotel we have been sent for.
