Soho Boutique Puerto Morelos

The room we were given was NOT AT ALL the rooms showed on the hotel website! We paid for a King Deluxe room, but what we received was anything but. We were on the first floor overlooking the street and parking. There was only 1/2 of a closet, no shelves, and plastic porch furniture, The only thing they got right was the size of the room, which was VERY small. We contacted Booking.com, who followed up with the hotel. A manager named "David", who neither on-site, nor noted by the hotel staff as anyone they had ever heard of, told Booking.com that not only did we get the room we requested, but that that it was an "upgrade" from the room we paid for. This is impossible to fathom, as our room was totally at the bottom of the line. Whomever was managing the hotel, and from wherever they were managing it, refused to acknowledge it. Hotel staff could not provide us with the name of any manager nor contact information for anyone else. We were given an email for reviews, which is exactly what we are doing.

This our last night of 10 staying here, we had one of the penthouses ( sounds fancy, but it isn’t), we were just below the roof top bar and the noise echoes through the corridors, thankfully it doesn’t open until about 3/4pm and is closed by about 10 so we are normally out and about. The room is big with a big bed which is comfy, that is about all that is in the room, no chairs no tea or coffee making facilities (that is in the lobby and makes the worst coffee you could Imagine, on some days you get juice in the lobby, these drinks are served in styrofoam cups (nice touch!!!) there are pastries in a plastic container that look like they have been there for days). We asked about breakfast as when we booked we were led to believe that breakfast was included, we were directed to the meagre offerings on the table in reception. Luckily there are a couple of really good cafes in walking distance. Anyway back to the room, no chairs or dressing table, the water pressure like others have mentioned is awful, luckily I have very little hair to wash but my wife really struggled to rinse hers thoroughly. We had a patio which was nice, there was an outdoor bath tub which would have been good but the plug did not fit. There were no glasses in the room (we bought a couple of cheap ones from the supermarket. The bars around did play loud music until about midnight, luckily we had a tv so we could drown out the sound if we got back early, ear plugs were needed every night if we wanted to sleep earlier The staff in reception are all young and we found they had no real knowledge of the hospitality industry and were not able to address any of the issues we had. We didn’t see a management figure around the whole time we were there. We had a great time in Puerto Morelos despite the hotel falling far short of our expectations. I would imagine this review will get an AI generated response like others saying the issues. Will be addressed but nothing will happen as other reviewers have mentioned some of the things we have already and nothing had changed.

This hotel is awful. It's a One Star at best. There isn't really a reception - just someone on a desk. There's a coffee machine and water (thankfully) in the lobby. It is located two blocks from the beach though surrounded by bars and restaurants. One bar had a live (and Loud) band playing every night until at least midnight. We felt we were in the bar. There was only a light on one side of our bed. The AC did work thankfully as we couldn't leave our window open. The shower is not fit for purpose. We could barely wash ourselves, never mind our hair. The loo broke and was backing up and we had to use the public toilet on the top floor. Towel quality was poor. Overall, we could not wait to check out. We won't be back. There are other places to stay in Puerto Morelos.

Clean hotel in the heart of Puerto Morelos. Highly walkable and safe! We had breakfast and lunch in the area, enjoyed the beach and the rooftop pool. There were refreshments in the lobby, staff was present to help 24/7. The only rub, was from the pool, there was something green that stained my daughter’s swimsuit.

MyContinental Bucuresti Gara de Nord is located near the train station and metro station. Its staffers (Bogotan, Czar, and Julia) were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room was spacious, however, the AC does not work, and the entire hotel is in need of refresh and/or upgrade.
