We attended the Sol Cosmopolitan late October as a family of 8, (4adults/4kids). Arriving late night on October 21st we were met with a very warm welcome and selection of food and drinks to settle us in. We were brought to our rooms efficiently with a lot of information about local transport and events held by the hotel that would suit both the kids and adults. During our stay we really indulged in the food offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Such and amazing selection, everything from adventurous seafood (octopus in ink, mussels, pagasus and even fish fingers to keep the younger clientele happy) I must say the omelettes made by the female blonde chef each morning were exceptional, definitely my favourite part of breakfast, you pick your fillings and she will cook them in front of you. I regret not asking her name as she definitely deserves a mention.. Dinner was also delicious, plenty of choice and areas to suit every taste, fresh stone baked pizza, authentic Gyro, simple sides like fries, salads etc (all of which is also available alla minute in the pool bar) The night Staff are amazing, stand out barman is Mike! What a treasure this man is, my kids loved him, made them all types of mocktails with no hesitation, and although I was all inclusive I couldn’t resist but to ask him to make me something special (which is needed to paid for) . He didn’t disappoint, I had my first ever Paloma and an authentic Negroni, he always also made a point of saying hello and give a friendly wave anytime he seen us in and around the hotel. He provided a very special experience for us, and especially when the kids sat on the high stools to order their mocktails, Mike is a credit to Sol Cosmopolitan. The entertainment team were incredible, Alice was the star, she was amazing with all the events like face painting, dancing, singing etc and was always very friendly and helpful throughout the day. I’m definitely going to make a point of booking this hotel when I return to Rhodes. Thank you so much for an incredible holiday
