Great place, ignore negative reviews

Ignore all the crappy reviews. It's clean, comfy and is a cracking location. Yes the rooms are dated but the beds are really comfy. 2 decent pools, exit to the beach. Spot on in my opinion. 4 of us stayed for my stag, were late 30s to mid 40s. Strip is a bit mivery but just walk off amd they leave you alone.

We booked as a couple, staying for 4 nights. We paid for a front sea view, bed and breakfast and from reading other reviews our expectations were low. I think you have to take this hotel with a pinch of salt, the location for the strip, restaurants, bars and the view from our room was incredible. We were in the (main?) Block i guess, the same one as the reception, 10th floor, and we were not once disturbed by the strip. The view was AMAZING. Watching the surfers from the balcony was the best. The bed was comfy enough, the shower was fine. Hot and powerful, cleaning of the room everyday. The lifts are efficient even getting to/from breakfast at peak time, it was quick. This hotel is absolutely next to the PARTY central of playa, if you dont want to be around groups of drinking people, smells in the corridor, then don't stay here. It's very much a party hotel... but if you don't mind that, it's fun. It's funny. We met some funny people and had a laugh. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and fresh (even 10 mins before breakfast ended). You don't need to stay all inclusive here, drinks are cheaper elsewhere and you can get 3 course dinner down the road for €13. You also get amazing views of the beach, lovely shops and night life if you want it right on your doorstep. As a mid 30s couple, we had a great few days. Is it glamorous? No. Does it try to be? No. Is the location good? Yes. It is what you make it. We had a great stay.€30 taxi to and from the airport too. Can't fault it.

Stag part heven, all it's good for

This hotel is full of stag party's because it's right on main night club strip, I was on a stag party so ok, you will not get any sleep until 6am if you are lucky, food is very basic ok if you just want breakfast, hotel did have issues with theft and bad behaviour, location perfect for beach and strip, I would not recommend for families or couples,

We went all-inclusive, food was absolutely tasteless . The hotel is filthy and discusting, the staff are rude few friends got there phones and money pinched. I've been to tenerife nearly every year over the past 30 years and stayed in lots of hotels of all star ratings and this one by far was the worst one. Everyone has different experiences but please becareful and read up on hotel and reviews before booking this hotel

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid at All Costs

My stay at Hotel Sol in Tenerife was deeply unsatisfactory and distressing. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find the room infested with cockroaches, which immediately raised serious concerns about hygiene and safety standards. When I approached the hotel staff and management about the issue, their response was alarmingly indifferent. I was told, “We cannot guarantee that the other room we will give you won’t have cockroaches either.” Such a statement is both unprofessional and unacceptable, especially for a hotel that presents itself as a reputable establishment. In addition to the pest problem, the noise levels throughout the night were intolerable, making it nearly impossible to get any rest. The lack of soundproofing and overall management of guest conduct further contributed to an already unpleasant environment. Due to the severity of the situation, I filed an official complaint with the local authorities. I urge potential visitors to be extremely cautious when choosing accommodation in Tenerife. Many previous reviews warning travelers to avoid this hotel were absolutely justified—unfortunately, I ignored them and regret it. I strongly recommend avoiding Hotel Sol entirely. There are far better, cleaner, and more professionally managed options available on the island. Your health, comfort, and peace of mind are worth more than what this hotel offers.
