Great location & food, rooms dirty & run down

Cannot beat the location and Imerovigli is a great place to stay to avoid the crowds but still have everything nearby! The room was unfortunately a huge let down, they upgraded our room which we were very exited about however when arriving couldn’t believe the state. It was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. I wiped over the bathroom bench and the amount of dirt that came off was insane (also a few individual fake eyelashes from the previous customers). The outdoor pool and terrace was also filthy and even though it seemed like cleaners came through (because the bed got made each day) nothing else seemed to have gotten cleaned. The maintenance was also extremely disappointing given for a 4-star hotel. We asked for someone to come and give the outside are and pool a clean for us but all they did was push the dirt around inside the pool a little and leave, everything else was left. The pool itself looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. The sitting area inside had dirty pillow cases and covers, and there was splatter marks inside and outside on the walls For paying $2800 AUD for 3 nights this was a huge letdown and when chatting to reception when leaving and showing photos to hopefully avoid it happening again we got “I’m sorry”. Definitely felt the care factor was very low.

Best boutique hotel in best town Santorini

Fantastic boutique hotel, excellent service in arguably the best town for sunset views on the island. Highly recommend if you are mobile and up for small hikes. The staff was quick to answer our requests and book things last minute and in high quality fashion. I left impressed. Let the pictures do the talking

We first stayed at Sophia Luxury Suites for our 20th Anniversary in 2015. It was an experience like no other, complete with our own private pool and a stunning view of the water (see photos). So when we decided to return to Santorini with our children in their early 20s a decade later, we knew we wanted to return to the most beautiful view at sunset and sunrise. Our return stay was just as magical as our first. The staff greeted us with Grecian wine and dessert to enjoy before we unpacked and explored the island (see photo). There's a dedicated app to coordinate with staff and order the complimentary breakfast, as well as any other service needs (see photo). Their communication and service were timely, friendly, and above all, attentive. The location is perfect for a short walk to restaurants and shopping. We rented three ATVs to get around the island because taxis and Ubers are costly, and there was plenty of parking near the hotel entrance. We stayed for five nights and truly enjoyed ourselves between the pool and our suite, which featured a dining table, full-size fridge, TV, and separate bedrooms, including a loft. We placed our adult children in another hotel for almost the same price, but there was no comparison to our stay at Sophia Luxury Suites. Highly recommend. Hope it doesn't take me another 10 years to return there!

Our stay at Sophia Luxury Suites was nothing short of unforgettable, and the true highlight was the outstanding care and service we received from the staff—especially the amazing Vasiliki, the manager. From the moment we arrived, Vasiliki went above and beyond to make our experience seamless and special. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes and personally checked on us throughout our stay to ensure everything exceeded expectations. Her attention to detail, kindness, and genuine investment in our comfort made us feel like more than just guests. She accommodated all our needs, made sure we were taken care of with every request, and even adjusted our checkout based on our flight. It’s rare to come across someone who pours so much heart and effort into their role, and it was clear she is a huge reason why this property runs so smoothly. Vasiliki truly keeps Sophia Luxury Suites afloat—her dedication made our stay not only possible but exceptional. The views, the room, the atmosphere—all were incredible—but it’s the warmth and care from people like Vasiliki and the team that make it a place we will 100% return to and recommend to everyone we know. Pricing Discrepancy and Loud Staff Near Our Room

We were very disappointed to learn that our villa neighbors booked this at thousands of dollars less then us through a booking platform, vs. directly through the hotel. (Same dates, essentially same room, etc.) We tried to book through the hotel so all the money could go to the property vs. a booking platform. When we discussed with their staff, they said it depended on the timing of when we booked it, which was a poor excuse for such price discrepancy. Our second biggest complaint was our room was right next to their kitchen and they yelled at each other all day long and until 11 p.m. at night, which made the experience feel awkward as staff constantly was coming and going right in front of us while we sat near our pool. Aside from that, the food was delicious and the space was cute.
