Went with my son. Will not return— awful— went to breakfast once —awful. Staff so rude - will not return and do not recommend. Rooms dated - service awful - not much good i could say about this hotel - sadly - bad pick by me !!! Wanted a good bonding holiday - not what i wanted !!!

We arrived as room only guests. It seemed bizarre that we didn’t have a kitchenette but those on all inclusive did have one. This meant we had to go and buy plates for breakfast as it was difficult to get anything from the staff for our room. We were treated very much like an inconvenience and not given the information that all inclusive guests had. In fact we had to keep asking for more information all the time about trips amd other in house activities. A couple of the staff were very rude in their manner. There is a young lady at chattel restaurant and one of the receptionist’s who were particularly rude and really not bothered. They and others seemed more interested in the 3 influencers and their drone who were making films for the hotel. The shuttle buses were good and the drivers excellent although it would be nice to have the shuttle buses running every hour to and from Speightstown and also later than 5 pm. This made it difficult to get back home from the town late on. The walk to the town is actually quite dangerous particularly where there are blind corners and no pavements near the hotel. When we did eat at the hotel the food was lovely and the restaurant staff really friendly. The glass bottom boat was good. It is a shame that all the boats were cutting up fish to attract the turtles which really isn’t appropriate. The town itself was amazing and you must visit the Happyness cafe, the Orange Street Grocer next door and the local bakery opposite which are all fabulous. We also ate and drank at the Just Chillin which again was fab. Overall we made the best of the situation and had a lovey holiday

The most peaceful place , beautiful staff that looked after us wonderfully. It’s a bit out the way but they have a shuttle service to the town. Rooms were kept beautifully clean , gardens were pristine. Watching the monkeys early morning was very special .

We arrived at the hotel with some hesitation—perhaps because I’d read a few negative reviews about customer service beforehand. But any concerns quickly vanished the moment we stepped inside. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay memorable. The dining experience was outstanding, with delicious, high-quality food and generous portions. The drinks were equally impressive, whether enjoyed by the pool or at the bar in the evening. Our room was spacious and complete with a private balcony overlooking the lush gully—a true hidden gem! Exploring the gully was a delight, with lots of hidden surprises, if you know where to look. While the hotel is a little secluded, the complimentary shuttle to Speightstown made getting around easy. Despite warnings, we even walked back a few times—yes, there’s a steep incline, but it was well worth it. Local buses from Speightstown were also reliable, making island exploration easy. Our week here flew by, and we left wishing we could stay longer. Without a doubt, we’ll be back one day. This place is a rare find—tranquil, charming, and hospitable.

This hotel was just too quiet for us . We stayed for 14 nights on an all inclusive package. It states there are two restaurants to book at , we were only given this option twice in the whole 14 days , we had the buffet at Chattels one evening and then we tried to book at the Chattels another night but was informed, as the hotel was quiet, the restaurant was being closed , then bizarrely the next night another staff member asked which restaurant we wanted to book at. We had only been there a few days when we popped in to look at the Chattels restaurant only to be quite literally chased out of the restaurant by two staff members, who told us the restaurant was shut for a private function - two members of staff shouted no you can’t come in here , it’s shut , it’s shut - we said oh we are only looking and thought we might have a drink , no worries.. it made us laugh as it was like they chased us off the premises. The main bar shuts at 10 every evening, not great when you are on holiday and even more so if you are on an all inclusive package ( on buffet nights they don’t even open it ) & on one occasion we popped back up stairs & had to stand our ground to get them to serve us ( they made it plain they weren’t happy about it ) one night my husband joked bet you thought you had finished ( this was. 9:30 and we had come back into the hotel after a meal in Speightstown ) , the female staff member asked who has been mentioned in another review, replied rudely, yes I did ! The menus stay the same for a whole week, changing on Wednesdays, so very repetitive. Breakfast is hit & miss , cold porridge, no spoons for dried fruits.. IMO breakfast was poor . Surely they should be checking the porridge is hot . I had the hot water for my tea brought over and the lid was securely on , again very slap dash . Also I asked for a Mojito and they had no mint ( they had no mint the entire time I was there , yet you can get it in the local supermarket) . The glass bottom boat , which they offer free of charge, is good and well worth doing. We had a car for the two weeks and without this I think we’d have gone stir crazy . If you are planning to eat out Local & Co in Speightstown is well worth a visit , lovely food , great cocktails & fantastic staff . Great setting too .
