Sugar Marina Resort-Surf-Kata Beach

Me and my wife recently stayed in the hotel for 10 nights. The hotel is located in a nice quieter area in Phuket which was very accessible to nice bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is themed around surfing which was a nice touch as Kata beach is famous for having people attending for surfing. We found the room to be nice and clean, with no complaints around the cleaning or upkeep of the room. The staff were lovely, very accommodating even going as far with providing complementary drinks and biscuits while we sat by the pool which I thought was a lovely gesture. The only complaint I would have is that I had emailed the hotel to say that it would be me and my wife’s honeymoon as a surprise for her, however when we arrived there did not seem to be anything in place for us. Our balcony was looking onto a half constructed building and did not offer good views, again I would have preferred looking onto the pool. Overall though it was a lovely, comfortable hotel with a relaxed atmosphere which was easily accessible to all amenities around Kata Beach. The staff were nice and friendly and I would recommend this hotel to any travellers thinking of staying around Kata Beach!
