Extremely Disappointing Stay – Shocking Standards for Dubai This has to be one of the most disturbing hotel experiences I’ve had in Dubai. The condition of the room was absolutely unacceptable and frankly shocking for a city that is known worldwide for hospitality standards. The mattress was visibly stained, looking old, unhygienic, and neglected. This alone raises serious concerns about cleanliness and guest safety. The carpet was filthy, covered with stains and dirt that clearly haven’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The bathroom condition was the worst part — moldy tile joints, black fungus in corners, dirty grout lines, and an overall sense of decay. This is not a minor housekeeping issue; it’s a health hazard. Even basic maintenance has clearly been ignored. Electrical fittings and accessories were equally disappointing. The shaver socket was dirty, rusted, and stained, which is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one operating in Dubai. The room telephone looked decades old, yellowed, dusty, and unhygienic—something you wouldn’t expect even in a budget motel. Honestly, it’s hard to believe how this property is allowed to operate under Dubai tourism standards. I seriously question how DTCM permits this level of neglect when Dubai is supposed to represent excellence and quality. This hotel does not meet even the most basic expectations of cleanliness, maintenance, or guest comfort. I would strongly advise travelers to stay away unless major renovations and hygiene improvements are made. Absolutely not recommended.
