Sunset Fishermen Beach Resort Playa del Carmen

Fisherman’s is truly my home away from home in Playa del Carmen. Every time I stay here I’m reminded why I keep coming back. The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking, and the entire resort has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What truly makes this place special is the incredible staff who consistently go above and beyond. A special thank you to Jermaine, the Manager, who is always friendly, approachable, and helpful. Yedid in Member Services is outstanding—professional, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. The Activities team, Andy and Lupita, bring so much energy and fun to each day with their great activities. Katrina the lifeguard is also wonderful—always attentive, friendly, and making everyone feel safe and welcome around the pool and beach. Rocio and Olivia in Housekeeping are wonderful. I always love coming back to my room after a day at the pool to find everything spotless and the adorable towel creations on the bed—it always makes me smile. Thank you as well to Guillermo and Romeo, our amazing waiters at lunch and dinner who always provided fantastic service. Alberto in Maintenance was quick and helpful when I had an issue in my suite. I’d also like to recognize Marcial at the Welcome Desk, and Daniella, Victor, Valeria, and the entire Reception team, who are always welcoming and helpful. And of course Valentin at the towel bar, who is always friendly and attentive. Thank you to the entire Fisherman’s team for making this one of my best stays ever. Your kindness and dedication truly make this resort special. I’m already looking forward to my next visit… I’m booked again for 2027!

I spent a day at this property and found it wonderful. I always come to Playa del Carmen on vacation and had never had the opportunity to visit this place before. Excellent service at the restaurant .

I have been coming to Playa for 21 years now. The last 14 years I have stayed at this resort. It is definitely the nicest one. The staff are all very friendly and professional. They also seem to have very low turnover in their staff. They are the people that always make you and your family feel welcome. They make you want to come back again every year. I wish I could remember everybody's name but I definitely would give special thanks to the mesero Samuel, the bell captain Marcielo, and the manager Juan Soler.

My husband and I have been going to Sunset Fisherman’s for 20+ years. We absolutely love the people that work there we love the location. We always get the best service. Our favorite bartender is Marcos, our favorite greeter Marciel and mascot takes care of us on arrival, delivering our luggage. The lifeguard Karina came in early to swim in the ocean with me on her time, I appreciate that she cared enough about my safety, what a gem. All of the staff at the service desk are the best with assisting with room assignments anything you need. This year, the activities director Andy and his helper did a fabulous job. I just want to rate the staff the cleaning crew, the towel service, maintenance for keeping the Fisherman’s running. We love our home away from home, and will return hopefully year after year.
