This is not a 4 star hotel, the food was awful, more for the Eastern European tastebuds, fried liver, kidneys or fish. Had to eat out as it was rotten. The breakfast was hard boiled eggs , cereal and fruit. The entertainment was shocking, lovely people but did nothing, played water polo and darts, some days but that was for adults, then had a mini disco at 9.30pm for 30 mins for the kids, they had some dancers one night and a fire eating man with a snake. They didn’t do anything with the kids all day. No lifeguards, the slide was a free for all and kids just supervising themselves, all going down at the same time, the pool area was a hazard, never cleared the water away so people slipping all over the place, drinks were in small paper cups. So you had to keep going back every 10 mins. Had to pay £14 for WiFi for 7 days so my child could have it in the room, it was down for 2 days. Extra £30 for a sea view, there are 3 blocks to this hotel, one is 200 yards up the street, no mention of that before, luckily we paid for the view to stay in one of the main blocks as didn’t fancy walking up and down the street for drinks and the pool. 40 sun loungers around the pool, only half were fully functional , soon as they put them back out at 11.30pm when everyone was leaving the pool area after the bar closed people started putting towels down, don’t expect to get a bed after breakfast as they will be all gone, the beach area is nice but be careful as soon as you go in the sea it’s rocks and pebbles, cut and bruised feet, very uncomfortable. Food and drinks at beach bar was good but you need to pay for this. Only juice is free. The room was ok, 30 mins in the bus into main Alanya, 70p each way so cheap option, there was a shopping trip arranged by the hotel one day but that was a nightmare, 2 couples were threatened from a shop owner when they didn’t agree in the price and were swarmed by a group of Turkish men, they had to run down the street to escape them, their poor wife’s were scared to leave the hotel after that, we were stopped from leaving a perfume shop when I said I didn’t want anything, had to push passed 2 men at the door to get us out. 1 couple had a car crash on the way back as the taxi was driving far too fast and hit the curb and smashed his tyre. They had shoulder injuries and the lady was holding on for dear life she hurt her hand from gripping so tight. There are lovely shops but be very switched on when going in to have a look. There is a great shop around the back of the hotel with good items and the guy stays open late and no pressure to buy. The staff were always nice to us but that wasn’t always the case for some people, only got towels changed once in a week but did get toilet roll and room cleaned. That wasn’t the case for many so it’s a hit or miss with staff interaction and experience.
