If you are looking for R & R, this place is for you, provided you can handle stairs. Room spacious. Sea view beautiful. Kudos to the chefs! We didn’t have one single meal that wasn’t delicious. We had room 111. We truly believe it is the worst room they have. We were forewarned during check in that it was a distance away and involved stairs, but it was the room that fitted with our booking of king bed with sea view. We had 54 stairs to climb from our room to the main lobby. 35 stairs to the restaurant. We couldn’t get anywhere without stairs. We even had to go up a flight of stairs and back down to get to the pool. Speaking of the pools, they are lovely (but in need of some work). Again, 8 steps down to the infinity pool and another 22 to the lower pool. We liked to sit out on our balcony after returning from the pool. Our balcony was directly above a staff area , so at times, was quite noisy. There was also a machine (pump?) with running water below that could be noisy at times. I don’t know what the phone extension was for our room, but twice in nine nights, we received calls from other guests. The first one was around midnight asking for water to be sent to their room. The second one was at 1:45 am asking for help with their luggage. Both times we were sleeping. Our second last night, we saw a daytime activity schedule posted at the top of the stairs near the lobby bar. Who knew? There was an influx of guests on the weekend and not enough pool loungers for everyone. Perhaps some folding ones or even folding chairs on hand would be an idea. The wifi didn’t work more often than it did. The mosquitos like to appear at dinner time, forcing many people inside the restaurant. They offer currency exchange, but not for Canadian $, so we found ourselves “budgeting”. We found the drinks a bit pricey, especially the beer. You should stop at the 7 Eleven on your way and stock up. There is literally nothing to do here. Even the tv only gets two English speaking stations….both being news channels that just keep repeating. You are not within walking distance of anything. Like I said, it is a beautiful resort. With nothing to do and our room issues, we found ten nights much too long.
