We’ve just returned home from a 10 night stay at this hotel, overall we had a nice relaxing stay but we did think there is room for improvement. Rooms - when we arrived we were placed in block 6, we’d travelled with my dad who was 70 and has mobility issues so this was not ideal as it’s a fair walk from the pool/bars etc. Prior to arrival I’d asked for a room close to amenities however I found communicating with the resort extremely difficult and when we arrived it appears none of my messages had been relayed to staff booking the rooms. We moved on day 3 which was not ideal, nevertheless the hotel got us 2 great rooms overlooking the pool which was much better for my father who unfortunately broke his foot a week prior to travel. If you do book this hotel try and email the hotel as the what’s app function is not great and messages may get missed. In terms of the rooms they are ok, basic but ok. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, our room in areas was unclean and some of the furniture was a bit worn which surprised us as supposedly this hotel was only renovated a year or so ago. The cleaners seem to do the bare minimum, some days we’d walk into our room and it would look as though the cleaner hadn’t actually touched our room. The hotel rooms would benefit from actual cups for coffee and some milk in the mini bar for your tea or coffee in the morning. We’ve been to hotels previously were bath robes were provided, just added a bit more luxury. The mini bar in the room is replenished daily and you get water juice and crisps. Bars/entertainment - we didn’t get to see much of the entertainment as we have a 1 year old who kept us busy in the evenings however from the entertainment we did see the shows looked fantastic. There 2 main bars to go to in the evening, these are both good, stop serving alcohol at midnight but then you can get alcohol in the nightclub or swan restaurant if you did want to stay out later. Bar staff are good, some better than others. At times noticed Russian tourists were favoured and all of the staff seem to speak fluent Russian but very little English which can be a barrier. Quite often other tourists would push in front of you in the queue which I have not experienced in other hotels and could be frustrating and staff at the bars would often turn a blind eye to this clearly not wanting to upset certain tourists. One lady at the bar with blonde hair, not sure on her name did often tell people to wait in their turn which I did appreciate as I was fed up of telling other tourists to wait their turn to be served. The waitresses waiting in the bars work tirelessly hard, they are very good and are often over to your table asking if you want more drinks. Special mention to Engin who was very nice, we had daily conversations with him and he always made a great effort with our little boy. Food - overall the food is ok, my father and myself can be particular so we sometimes struggled to find foods we liked however my partner will eat absolutely anything and found the food to be good most nights however it could be hit and miss. The swan for food is extremely busy and we grew tired of queuing 3 times a day so would often go to the snack bar for lunch which had a much nicer vibe and was more relaxed. Food not as varied but this was fine for us. Very British comment but where are the baked beans on the breakfast, I grew tired of a dry breakfast by day 5. I have spoken to other British tourists re this and they too wondered why no beans were on the breakfast menu. There were lots of random items at breakfast such as chicken nuggets, onion rings and chips but no beans which did surprise me! Kids club - honestly the best kids club I’ve seen in a hotel. The place is immaculate, staff superb and the facilities great. My 1 year old loved his mornings in there and if I had of stayed in there with him all day he would have been happy. Pools - great sized pools, very warm and not too crowded. The hotel was very busy during our stay yet the pools were always ok to access, sunbeds do get taken early though and people often put their towels on the beds and don’t return for the majority of the day. This doesn’t seem to be monitored by staff. Would have loved pool service which we have had at previous Turkish hotels. Beach / pier - didn’t spend much time here purely because there was nowhere to sit and have a nice drink. This hotel should make a feature of the pier as it is beautiful, it should be somewhere with music / live acts on during the day and evening, a place people can sit and relax with a nice drink. Seems like a waste really as the view out to the sea is stunning and this hotel don’t seem to make the most of this feature like others do. There are lots of sun beds in the shade and few tables but no chairs so if you do want a drink whilst overlooking the sea you have nowhere to comfortably sit, other than a sun lounger which really is not ideal. We stayed at a hotel called Liberty Fabay previously and spent our days relaxing by the sea in their bar, it was stunning and one of the highlights to our stay. They had saxophone players and various acts on during the day which was great and a lovely place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main pool. Hotel grounds - immaculate, the cleaners / landscapers work tirelessly. Lots of green areas which are extremely well maintained. Animals - loved the fact that animals are welcomed in the hotel, we saw some cats in the hotel and 1 dog. We saw many guests enjoying their presence. We have a dog and cat at home and my baby is animal obsessed so he loved the fact he saw animals every day and we’d often walk around to look for cats. Staff overall - staff are nice and we found they made a huge effort with our little boy which was lovely. Most of the staff do mainly speak Russian so could have very good conversations which Russians visiting the hotel but not English. It was sometimes difficult communicating with staff but this did not affect our stay, just frustrating at times. Hairdressers - visited twice and both times very impressed with my hair, had it curled. The hairdressers I saw were both lovely and welcoming. Price was reasonable. I’d highly recommend booking. Photography - the photographers are around the resort, they take images for free and if you like them you have the option to purchase one or 20 if you like! We bought some beautiful pictures of our little boy which we absolutely love. The photographers were lovely and we enjoyed having our pictures taken. Nice touch having them at the hotel to take professional photos. Our stay at this hotel was lovely, we had a nice relaxing break. We would recommend it to others, we probably wouldn’t return but that’s purely because we don’t often visit the same hotel twice unless it’s exceptional. Thank you for a lovely stay.
