This place is nestled amongst the trees, just 3 to 5 minutes walk from Unawatuna beach. We had a Grand-deluxe room which was very spacious, clean, well laid out, and had a large private balcony area. Be warned though, with some rooms there are lots of steps! The magic of this place was being so close to nature and seeing monkeys throughout our stay. It's pretty quiet too as it is set back from the road so it does feel like a world away from the busy street area. The resort offers massages and yoga sessions at reasonable prices and there is a nice pool for swimming and keeping cool. They provide towels for the pool or beach. We were particularly impressed by the staff team at this place. They work together well and it felt like they really care for the place. Some are young and doing their hospitality training and it was good to see this investment. Bearing in mind that this place is amongst the trees and must require an enormous amount of maintenance, the condition of the place was really good. It isn't perfect, though, but I don't think that is a reasonable expectation amongst the plants, trees and visiting wildlife. We enjoyed the food. There is a varied menu of local and world dishes. It seemed fairly priced and the service was always good. The only improvement we would suggest is to change the laundry service. This place charges per item of clothing which is a bit cheeky and expensive. However, there are lots of external providers who do it much cheaper.
