This resort is located on Karon Beach, one of Phuket's finest natural long beaches, where the sun sets. The hotel is nice but it is a little dated and needs some work. Whilst it was a nice stay, it does not feel like a 5 star luxury. The breakfast is ok but not great. Staff at the pool bar really nice and a good location. Gym is basic with poor A/C. Nice cocktails

Overall the general condition of the hotel is fantastic, especially the staff Atom at the counter, she helped us a lot since or flight was cancelled on 20/7 and she helped us to rebook the hotel room and assisted.

Disappointing - more ‘guest house’ rooms than 5* luxury

Disappointing – More Guest House Than 5-Star I booked two “Deluxe Garden View Terrace” rooms for a family holiday, specifically requesting ground floor rooms due to multiple previous reviews mentioning broken lifts. Unfortunately, this stay was a major letdown from the moment we arrived. Despite arriving early in the morning, we weren’t able to check in until 3pm due to the hotel’s strict check-in policy. When we were finally shown to our rooms, I was shocked and saddened to see that they were anything but deluxe. These rooms were small, dark and smelled heavily of a mix of damp and fresh paint. Far from 5-star luxury, the experience felt more like a basic guest house. The so-called “garden view terrace” was especially disappointing as it looked out onto a tall wooden fence, with no garden in sight and sat directly next to a very busy and noisy main road. When I raised my concerns with the manager, I was told that no alternative rooms were available for two days, after which we could be moved to the second floor. However, as a family with a 70-year-old guest and given the unreliable lifts, this simply wasn’t a viable option. With no acceptable solution offered, we had no choice but to find alternative accommodation. Thankfully, we discovered The Access Resort & Spa, where all rooms are spacious, ground floor and offer direct swim-out access from private terraces. At half the price, the quality, comfort and service there were far superior and much more in line with what you’d expect from a 5-star experience. I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience and urge others to look carefully beyond the photos and descriptions before booking.
