Charming by name but not really

Don't know where to start with this one. Firstly, don't let the photos mislead you. It is far from the glamorous setting they portray. We arrived to a speedy check in and was led to block 4. The room , at first appearance, was very nice. Large room with separate bathroom and bedroom. That's where it stopped being nice. First night I had to call reception as the entire bed was crawling with ants. 2 staff came promptly and changed the entire bedding sprayed something around the edges of the room. Obviously knew about it previously. After a sleepless night due to checking the bed, we went for breakfast. Very clean restaurant and food was in abundance. Sat eating breakfast when we observed various residents dipping their fingers in jam, honey and other condiments. Staff turned a blind eye. It was at this point we gave up on breakfast for the duration of our stay. Moving onto day 3 and the ants were back in full force. We stayed awake again this night. But this time we booked another hotel. We checked out 2 nights early. Yes we lost money, but I really didn't care. My wife's health and safety was worth more to me. Would I stay here again? Absolutely NOT. Would i recommend it? Absolutely NOT. Try other places first please people. Graceland next door is one example.

Good Accommodation, excellent housekeeping, very pleasant staff, very helpful reception staff. Mr M extremely friendly and helpful..I would recommend this hotel resort for couples with a choice of peacefulness and night life. And I enjoyed both options as a single visitor.

I am very disappointed with my stay. I was given an upgrade and early check in, which was nice. However, the cleanliness issues I experienced were unacceptable. I dropped my bags off after checking in, and I noticed that there were bloodstains and a hair on my bedding. I asked them to replace the bedding. I returned later that night, and they had replaced the bedding. However, I then went to the restroom and noticed a TOENAIL on the floor (it was not mine, as I had left for the whole day). This was absolutely disgusting. It was too late at night to have housekeeping remake the room, so I was going to wait until the next day. However, I then found 3 ants on the desk, and a coiled hair on the ground. I called to ask to check out early the next day, and I asked if I could just pay for the night I stayed, but they said I would have to pay in full because of my nonrefundable rate. They offered me a new room, but I was so grossed out that I didn’t even want to risk the new room being just as bad. This is NOT a “luxury” resort. It was obvious very little housekeeping had been done before I entered the room. I ended up leaving and just paying in full. Stay at the Four Points next door— excellent housekeeping and service there. I gave 2 stars because The Charm had kind people and a large room, but these were the ONLY good things about the resort.
