The George Hotel

I genuinely don't think we could fault the hotel in anyway. We arrived late at night for a week's stay. There was someone there to greet us and take our bags up the stairs. We were checked in quickly and shown to our room, not lifting a finger on the way. We'd emailed prior asking for a specific room and what we got was even better. We stayed in 218 which was a pool level room with a somewhat private little terrace. The room was huge! It was clean and modern, had great facilities such as a fridge, safe, air con. The bed was so so comfy, we accidentally slept in most mornings. Luckily, breakfast was 8am - 11am, giving you plenty of time for a lie in. There is a nice selection of food, both warm and cold, always being topped up. Even though we had sun beds on our terrace, we never struggled to get a bed around the pool either. They even offer an ordering service for food and drinks straight to your room or sun bed! The two pools were lovely, the smaller one being slightly warmer and deeper. Every member of staff we encounter was friendly, chatty and professional, always on the look out to see if you needed anything, asking how you were etc. The pool bar food and drinks menu was extensive and was reasonably priced with huge portions and everything we ate was amazing. There's a fair few stairs around the hotel but there are lifts and staff are always around to help with bags. A short walk down the road is a great little shop and then less than 5 minutes is the beach with all the restaurants. We took advantage of the free sun beds at the sister hotel Acrogiali. We went early morning and had a choice of plenty but we've passed mid afternoon and it's pretty full. Likewise, the staff at Acrogiali are of the same vane - friendly, fast service and lovely people. The bus to the main town is about 5/10 minute walk too - you can either walk down a small alley which is a pretty flat walk or you can walk down the beach boardwalk too. They were always on time, so cheap and run right into the early hours of the morning if you're having a late one in the town. All in all, we're currently looking to see when we can come back. It's absolutely perfect and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The perfect hotel to stay in if you’re visiting Mykonos-very clean facilities, large spacious rooms, multiple outdoor pools that are very well kept with a great fully serviced bar area. All the hotel staff are very helpful and always responsive to our needs especially the reception staff we dealt with Christina/Dimitra and Aphrodite and the doormen/bar staff Alex. It’s location is perfect with free beach access at the sister hotel across the road at one of the nicest beaches in Mykonos. It’s also very close to the bus station to get you to Mykonos town and save you lots of $$ on Mykonos transport. Would 100% stay here again

The George Hotel in Mykonos is a beautiful property in an ideal location, offering spacious rooms with large balconies and a stunning pool area complete with comfortable lounge chairs—perfect for relaxing under the sun. We loved having access to the beach via their sister hotel, Acrogiali Beach, located right on Platis Gialos. It was a major plus to be so close to the bus stop for easy access to Mykonos Town and the scenic Coastal Path that leads past all the iconic beach clubs like Paradise and Scorpios. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had a wide range of options, but surprisingly, none of the food was labeled, which made things a bit frustrating, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions or food allergies. Now, for the downside: the service. Compared to the warm hospitality we experienced throughout the rest of Greece, the staff here felt noticeably disengaged. We weren't greeted by front desk staff as we came and went, and at times it felt like asking a simple question was an inconvenience. Housekeeping was the exception—they were consistently polite and friendly. We also found the poolside service lacking. While the food menu had plenty of appealing options (and what we ordered was genuinely delicious), the pool waitress introduced herself, handed us menus, and then vanished for nearly five hours. We had to flag her down just to place an order. Despite the lackluster service, I would still recommend The George Hotel for its lovely rooms, beautiful pool, great food, and unbeatable location. However, with even a small investment in staff training and attentiveness, this hotel could easily go from good to exceptional.

Good service, hotel room is super clean, hotel pool and garden are well kept. Breakfast with hot waffle and fresh orange juice is a plus. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel.

We have had an absolutely wonderful two weeks stay in the George Hotel, currently sat in the beautiful, calm reception area waiting to return home, very sad to be leaving. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were taken to our room (205). We were blessed with a large room with a big balcony (fantastic view too). The room was kept spotless by the cleaner each day. There were plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, a safe, a fridge with small freezer and hair dryer. The coffee machine had pods replaced as they were used. We kept milk in the fridge for the coffee. The two pools were clean and very well maintained. There is a hot tub with great views. If you prefer the beach you can take the very short walk down to the sister hotel (Acrogiali) and use their facilities on the beach. The breakfast was good, lots of pastries, breads, cereals, cooked breakfast, cold selection, coffee machine, fresh orange machine, pancake maker and waffle maker. A great deal of choice. You can eat inside or have the view outside. The staff, what can we say, all so friendly, welcoming and so hard working to ensure everyone has a great stay. Thank you. We enjoyed walking down to the front each night to try all the different restaurants, great choices. The bus is a short ride to Mykonos town (€2 each way, very cheap). Can recommend the sunsets there. From the bus station you can get the bus to other villages/beaches. There is a good map you can take in Reception that shows you the island and where you can get buses to.
