The only thing that amazed us was the location. The view from the room/pool was simply stunning, the accomodation was exactly as photos. All and all we had a good stay BUT I did find a huge price/quality mismatch. We paid about 890 AUD per night, and it honestly wasnt worth more than 250. If you book and pay for a luxury stay, you expect excellence. And it simply wasn’t. A lot was broken or poor quality. We had a leaking shower, the bathtub was leaking, the little fountains in the entry were both out of action, the sliding windows were hard to open, etc The towels didnt smell nice and were very rough. There was little water pressure in the shower so washing hair took forever. The food was ok, but not excellent. Hygiene could have been better: We stayed at another hotel before and had no issues, 3 days in Griya and we all had runny tummies. We did not eat or drink out of the hotel. Staff was nice, but not trained well and the place was understaffed. Long story short; we stayed at another hotel in bali in the same price range, same period (slightly cheaper) and the Griya didn’t come close to the experience we had there. I would recommend to avoid this hotel keep looking elsewhere.
