The Griya Villas & Spa

It is one of the best hotels I have ever been in my life. The hosts are very kind and helpful. They treating you like a family. The room are outstanding and having everything you need even and more. The view is incredible and you feel like you are connected with nature. The restaurant serving the best food ever. I like the idea that the swimming pool is connected with the kitchen. In general, if you are looking for a place to run from everything I would suggest Griya Shanti🩷. Thank you for making my trip amazing and unforgettable.

The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and I especially loved relaxing by the private pool. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, and authentic Balinese escape. I’ll definitely be coming back! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights in Villa 6, in early April 2025 as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. The overall experience was everything I had been looking for and everything I expected for this very self indulgent vacation which started with a private transfer from the airport. The wow factor as you enter the Villa grounds for the first time is breathtaking. The Living Room and Bedroom had direct ocean views. The Kitchen had views of the Rooftop Bar. And a private swimming pool with an infinity ocean view… Heavenly. The mixture of serviced villa and luxury hotel is a great selling point and one that I really appreciated. This was an oasis of calm in the middle of a very hectic itinerary around Bali and neighbouring islands. Yes - you can hear cockerel calls at dawn and dusk and you might hear gecko calls at night, but you are in a fairly rural area so that is to be expected. It’s Amed’s own aesthetic soundtrack. A villa rate that includes breakfast, and then a modest tray charge for having Breakfast and Restaurant meals brought to your Villa meant you could have a isolated getaway experience at the same time as a catered hotel stay. The food and drink was of the highest standard in terms of both presentation and quality. A full size drinking water dispenser of cold and hot water in the kitchen was very much appreciated. We ate in the Safka restaurant one time, and watched a Balinese dance performance as we ate. We went to the Channa Spa for Emerald Healing Treatments and a manicure / pedicure. It was a lovely chilled atmosphere and the staff were very smiley, polite and attentive. Of course, as with any hotel type stay, there were a few minor issues along the way but all of those were handled and resolved quickly with the greatest customer service. I only had two regrets: that we couldn’t stay longer that I live on the other side of the world and can’t return as quickly as I would like to

Lovely welcome and introduction for us. Feel very much at home. Great amenities. Very private villa with nice added touches. Kitchen facilities are amazing. Bathrooms are very spacious. Lovely to have our own provide pool. Fruit basket is nice touch.

The Griya Villas are quite nice, luxurious in most ways. Each villa has a private pool and a wonderful view. At least one large bedroom a large wardrobe area and a very large bathroom. The private pool area has a sitting room and a kitchenette. The restaurant overlooks a larger pool and also has a lovely view. Great food from breakfast to lunch and dinner. There's a rooftop bar area as well. Happy hour from 5-7. There's even a spa although we did not happen to use it. The staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. I'd rate the Griya 5 stars if it weren't for 2 issues. First are the towels (stiff rough unpleasant), which are 1 star! We stayed at 5 other luxury hotels on Bali on this trip and they all had 5-star towels so the Griya needs to up its game in this regard. Second, less important, is the TV. Each private poolside sitting room has a TV but it's not a 'smart' TV and has no premium channels. So most of the programming is in Indonesian and many of the channels are unavailable without a subscription. In other TV-equipped hotels on Bali, they have smart TVs, which allows one to access a personal Netflix account. Of course, you don't go to Bali for the TV, but still...
