The Griya Villas & Spa

Wonderful and peaceful hotel with a beautiful location. Our villa had two separate bedrooms, and in a third building there was a spacious kitchen and living room. We also had our own private pool and the views were absolutely stunning. The service is always very friendly and the food is excellent. This was already our third time staying here, and we keep coming back because the experience is always so relaxing and high quality. Highly recommended!

I have been meaning to write a review for Griya since Sept 2025. I want to start by thanking the staff, in particular Andi & Alix (& the other gentleman on front desk who’s name escapes me) We emailed Andi from another hotel that was not living up to its “relaxing location” claim (massive building works) and asked if they could squeeze us in last min. We were absolutely delighted to be accommodated as we have been visiting Amed for 8 yrs and dining many times at The Griya (and watching the sunset from the beautiful roof top whilst working our way through the cocktail menu!) and always wanted to stay here. As per other reviews the villas are lovely and we very much enjoyed the privacy and the views. The private pool area was exceptional. The public areas of the hotel are beautiful. We discovered a hidden coffee shop to the rear of the pool area on our last day! A highlight is dinner whilst watching the stunning Balinese dancers perform! The food really is lovely and breakfast was the best we’ve had. We hope to return in June 2026 and stay here again. Thank you all..

We very much enjoyed the hospitality of the Griya and very much appreciated the effort the employees put into everything. We had the The Perfect Honeymoon - 3N/4D package which included airport pickup, but because of IT system troubles at the airports we arrived past midnight, but our driver (Gede Santai) was very gracious and waited for us while we got everything ready for the trip to the villa. He gave us a lot of insights during our trip and did regular follow ups to see if everything was going well. The food at the hotel itself was very delicious and had good pricing, and all activities included in the package where very much worth the money. The view from the villa's are incredible as well! All by all of our 2 week stay the Griya was by far our favorite part of the trip!

We are staying here at the moment and have had a wonderful experience. Villa 11 overlooks the sea and is so private, quiet and relaxing. The villa is well appointed with a kitchen/living room with a water dispensing unit - there is a useful mini market at the entrance to the hotel which enables you to buy supplies. There is a very large bedroom with a big bathroom and open shower plus a huge bath. The place is spotless, the sun beds are comfy and the staff are super helpful and very cheerful. We have enjoyed the complementary yoga, the spa treatments and the wonderful restaurant. The breakfast menu is extensive and has large portions! The evening menu offers loads of choice. All in all we will be sad to leave.

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights in Villa 6, in early April 2025 as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. The overall experience was everything I had been looking for and everything I expected for this very self indulgent vacation which started with a private transfer from the airport. The wow factor as you enter the Villa grounds for the first time is breathtaking. The Living Room and Bedroom had direct ocean views. The Kitchen had views of the Rooftop Bar. And a private swimming pool with an infinity ocean view… Heavenly. The mixture of serviced villa and luxury hotel is a great selling point and one that I really appreciated. This was an oasis of calm in the middle of a very hectic itinerary around Bali and neighbouring islands. Yes - you can hear cockerel calls at dawn and dusk and you might hear gecko calls at night, but you are in a fairly rural area so that is to be expected. It’s Amed’s own aesthetic soundtrack. A villa rate that includes breakfast, and then a modest tray charge for having Breakfast and Restaurant meals brought to your Villa meant you could have a isolated getaway experience at the same time as a catered hotel stay. The food and drink was of the highest standard in terms of both presentation and quality. A full size drinking water dispenser of cold and hot water in the kitchen was very much appreciated. We ate in the Safka restaurant one time, and watched a Balinese dance performance as we ate. We went to the Channa Spa for Emerald Healing Treatments and a manicure / pedicure. It was a lovely chilled atmosphere and the staff were very smiley, polite and attentive. Of course, as with any hotel type stay, there were a few minor issues along the way but all of those were handled and resolved quickly with the greatest customer service. I only had two regrets: that we couldn’t stay longer that I live on the other side of the world and can’t return as quickly as I would like to
