The Ixian Grand & All Suites - Adults Only

I had an amazing experience at the Aegeo Spa in the Ixia Grande Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They made me feel welcome and well cared for from the moment I arrived. I opted for a full body spa treatment, and it was exactly what I needed—deeply relaxing and expertly delivered. Highly recommend if you're looking to unwind and be pampered in a serene environment.

Good points The hotel is clean and tidy Staff all friendly and helpful. Alot of sun beds around the pool and beach area. Taxi service from the hotel is good There are a few pubs a 5 min walk away The 2 ladies that book the day trips out are spot on, Bad points It's supposed to be themed nights for dinner, but that's not the case.. all the same every night. Entertainment is crap every night. You'll need to make your own Entertainment. Freezing cold pools (sea is warmer!) Drinks are passable Snack bar same everyday.

Excellent hotel , very clean, the staff are very friendly & helpful , food excellent loads of choice , different food every night in main restaurant, other restaurants on site if you want something different.

Arrival - we arrived late. Check in was quick and easy. Our cases were taken to our room. We had complimentary water (replenished everyday), lovely feta salad rolls and chocolate cake in the fridge. The tourist tax is £15 per room each night. Not the hotels fault, however I get the 5 star rating due to the suites, it's unfortunate us lot in the basic rooms have to pay those prices despite not having the same amenities (whirlpool/swim up pool/exclusive restaurants without reservation of 1 visit if staying over 1 week). It is what it is & a Rhodes thing. Room - 265 Sufficient storage space, my only criticism is there are no hangers in the wardrobe suitable for trousers. AC was cold & seemed to have one set temperature despite turning it up from 20 degrees to 25 degrees Super comfy bed Powerful shower, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel and soap provided. Pool/ beach area No problems getting sun beds at any time of day on the grassed area or on the shingle beach. Free towels can be collected by the quiet pool after 10am. Towels have to be collected from reception before 10am The pool isn't heated and is cold. Pool bar available for drinks and snacks. The snack bar isn't self-serve, however this is better for hygiene/speed of service. Bars Never had to queue for long. I don't understand the comments about the cocktails being watered down made by some travellers. They were strong enough for me. I recommend the Moscow Mule and Apple Martini. Outdoor seating at the lobby bar. It did get a little chilly at night, would be nice to have some patio heaters. Restaurant Fantastic choices of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The toast situation is always a nightmare like most hotels. I would suggest the hotel provide 2 toasters rather than 1. Milonges restaurant - we ate here once. My advice go hungry as you're fed very well. Staff- all very pleasant and friendly. Cats - loads of them, they are looked after well. Entertainment - During our stay this mainly took place indoors and a lot of the time it's standing room only if you arrive late. There is room for more tables/chairs and that would be my suggestion for the hotel. We enjoyed listening to DJ Saxophone, Encore and Stardust. Location - quiet, enough shops, a few bars and restaurants. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday, I'd recommend this hotel. We would come back in the future.

My honest review of the Ixian Grand. I loved this place and will definitely be coming again!! Sorry this is a long post! Disclosure, I have never gone to any other adults only , or 5 star or all inclusive holiday for that matter ! So my opinion is based solely on what I have experienced and not what i can compare to. Obviously if others have been to different 5* or all inclusive, they will have experiences to compare with. My partner and I were here for 7 nights. This has been such a wonderful holiday for me and my partner. I am said to leave but now excited to book again for the future. Staff- exceptional . Absolutely fantastic. They were always lovely, smiley and helpful. That includes all type of staff I interacted with : reception, cleaners, staff in the dining area and the special restaurant we booked. Everyone ! Room- We booked a sea view, spa bath room - we ended up with room 305. The sun hits the room for all of the morning until after lunch. Great view of the sea and main pool. Would recommend this room. What I would say is, the door to the bathroom is not what I would describe as a full privacy door , so just be mindful when you book with someone in case you’re not fully comfortable going to the toilet in front of one another 🫣🥰 . The rest of the bathroom was beautiful - walk in shower big enough for 4 people honestly ! Rain shower and normal shower head to use from. The room comes with a mini fridge with a few drinks and chocolates in there when we arrived- a lovely complimentary addition. Clears provided us fresh water when they cleaned our room for us. There is an espresso coffee machine - however if you don’t drink coffee you can ask reception for a kettle and they will happily give you one for your stay! There is no iron but again, ask reception and they will give you one for the time you need it. Another thing, I never have trouble sleeping regardless of noise, however I would like to say that when entertainment is on and they’re playing in between the pool, it’s quite loud and you can still hear the music with the balcony door closed. So just be mindful of this if you easily wake up from noise. The room itself is a perfect size, the spa bath is big enough for me and my partner (I am a bigger size woman as well). The bed … wow !!! Soooo comfy !! And huge ! No problems there. There’s sockets next to each side of the bed, as well as next to the sofa and by the mirror in the room where the coffee machine is. Also, you can turn off the lights from your bed from either side of the bed !! Bonus 🥰😍 there is a hair dryer in the room (in the draw) which I used and I was happy with. If you have arthritis in your fingers it might not be the best as you have to hold the button in for it to work (it’s not one where you flick the button and it stays on). So again, another point to be mindful of 🥰 Food- I have nothing to complain about with the food. I overheard some people complain about it in the dining area, but they probably have other things to compare it to. There was always a large selection of food !! I tried to many new things whilst eating at Ixian Grand (like shark and some other type of fish haha). Breakfast - loads to choose from . Your main full English type of food but with a twist , pastries, cereals , porridge , ham & cheeses etc. Loads to pick from ! They also did rice pudding for one day we were there and I loved it ! Lunch & dinner - lunch is very similar to dinner with the options , loads to choose from . There was different things each day like chicken, pork, fish etc. Desserts were very beautifully presented . On our last day there was crème brûlée 🍮, highly recommend !!! Delicious!! A la carte Greek restaurant- now I haven’t experienced much food like this before. High end food I call it ! So beautiful, and fresh. We had 5 starters and a main each. (You get to pick the main but not the starters) The food was lovely . Some of the things I didn’t like as I’m not a fan naturally (like tomatoes) so the Greek salad starter was not our favourite but If you like stuff like that , I know you will love it ! I ate some of it as I wanted to appreciate all of what we were given. I do recommend trying this restaurant. We left full and satisfied. 😊 the main was exceptional!!!! I had a chicken main and my partner had pork. Our plates were clean when we left !! We got this meal at the restaurant free as we booked 7 nights all inclusive . Snack bar- yes the snack bar had the same things every day but they were very tasty- smashed burgers on a wrap type bread. Sausage rolls, Cheese pasties, Yoghurts with honey, salads, pizza, bao buns with veg, wraps , ice cream and different cakes. I was pleased with the options 🥰 Drinks- they offer wine at dinner and lunch , if you’re like me and don’t like wine, you can ask for something else ! 😊 drinks made at the bars I was happy with, yes they’re not your super duper fresh that people might be used to, but I found them nice. Mai tai was my favourite if you’re into sweet drinks. A variety of cocktails to pick from . My partner stuck to the local beer and soft drinks. Another bonus - if you download the app you can order drinks to your sun-bed. Wait time varied from 5 mins to 15 mins for us depending on what time and how busy they were etc 🙂 Pool- it was cold as it will be at this type of year (October) but …. It’s alright once you’re in !! 😝🤣 large pool and even a quiet pool to the left of the doors leading to the dining area. Loads of space to swim . You’re never fighting for a sun-bed either ! The hotel provides you with beach towels , so you don’t need to bring your own. Extra: There is a spa on site , but we didn’t use it so I can’t comment on that. Walk to the closest shops is around 10 mins. Loads of cats 😍😍😍. The reception will book a taxi for you to go to old town- 16.50 euros it cost us. We went on the Romantika boat (book near the old town) and that was a good experience with lovely staff. 85 euros each and the boat people also booked us a transfer which cost 20 euros. Romantic songs and also Christmas songs 🤣 loads of boat to choose to go on though!!
